We on Islawrffordd were saddened to learn of the loss of the Rt Hon. Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas.

“Dafydd El”, as he was locally referred to, was always approachable during his political representation for Merioneth. He was supportive to our business on numerous occasions over the years, even before his role as Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism in Wales. And we recall his attendance at special events at Islawrffordd and the inaugural Mid Wales Tourism Awards with fondness. He will be missed.

Job Vacancy: Receptionist at Islawrffordd 5* Caravan Park

Located in Mid Wales, we are seeking a friendly and reliable individual to join our reception team. As a Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable experience during their stay.

Role Overview:

As a Receptionist, you’ll be responsible for:
▪️Welcoming guests and providing excellent customer service
▪️Taking bookings and handling inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
▪️Managing check-ins and check-outs
▪️Ensuring the swimming pool area is maintained and safe for guests
▪️Assisting with general cleaning and upkeep of communal areas
▪️Addressing any guest concerns or requests during their stay

Essential Skills:
▪️A friendly, approachable attitude and excellent communication skills
▪️Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
▪️Good time-keeping and a reliable work ethic
▪️Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
