A bit of an honesty post from me today. I’m really struggling, my business is struggling and right now I’m honestly not sure I’m going to last the year with the way things are going. I know things are tight for so many people but you can still support me for free by interacting with a post, simply liking, sharing or commenting. It means my post will likely be shown to a new audience so I can grow, and would mean so much to me. I’m not a social media expert, I’m a metalsmith and work so hard to make sure I produce high quality jewellery. But I need those views so people can find me. If anyone has any suggestions to help, I’d also appreciate it 🙏

We are delighted to share that Scotland has won the bid to host the World Agritourism Conference in 2026. The announcement was made this morning in Bolzano, Italy, at a gathering of agritourism world leaders, who represent the recently formed Global Agritourism Network.

The international conference in 2026 will showcase the diversity and growth of Scotland’s agritourism sector on a world stage and it is expected that up to one thousand delegates will attend.

Caroline Millar, Sector Lead, said; “When our sector and public agencies developed the national strategy for Agritourism three years ago, we included a focus on building international networks and playing a leadership role globally as one of the actions. Hosting a World Agritourism Conference prior to 2030 is what we would have called a ‘big audacious goal’ and so we are over the moon to bring the conference to Scotland in 2026 and to share our country’s quality agritourism offering with a global audience.”

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting with Fiona Veitch, owner of the beautiful wedding venue The Harbour Chapel in Dunbar, East Lothian, a 20 minute drive from Jerusalem Farm Pods.

It was great to see how the oldest Wesleyan Church in Scotland has been transformed and to share our journeys which have brought us to where we are today; its always good to create new links within the community.

We are now looking forward to warmer spring days, a busy 2024 season, and hopefully, future guests attending weddings at the Harbour Chapel ❣️

This last week has seen guests come and go from England, The Netherlands and Australia. Its always a pleasure to meet new travellers and their reasons for visiting are so varied...graduating from Edinburgh Napiers University, exploring Scotland and Ireland before heading to Iceland and family gatherings nearby.
