Five gorgeous cottages have been created from redundant barns at Belle Grove Farm. Oozing character, the properties each feature superbly-equipped open-plan kitchen/living areas and a bathroom for each bedroom. All are furnished with an eclectic mix of sumptuous textiles, furniture and antiques collected from around the world by the owners. The deliberately un-manicured surroundings entice all sor

ts of wildlife, but the pretty enclosed courtyard gardens offer tranquil al fresco dining for humans too. The countryside location makes for great walking as does the stunning Suffolk heritage coast, only a few miles away.

Flashback Friday: it’s 1977 and had the idea of driving a truck from UK via Morocco, Algeria and Niger to Nigeria to sell, taking a few pax to help running costs. This involved a hasty conversion of this Bedford RL with Simon Polecat rig + many breakdowns. (The last few spools of film were confiscated by the Nigerian police).

Sadly (in a way) it’s not snow but the effect of infra red photography in and around BG’s grounds…
