Yay, we got another 5 Star review!!

We had a lovely couple staying in Fairy Cottage this past weekend. Makes all our hard work here worthwhile when we get to meet such lovely people.

What a wonderful time we had with Mags at her place, they hosted perfectly and we can't wait to go back, she thought of everything and it made our stay magical

Just like buses two come at once!!!

How lovely is this?! We had a lovely couple stay the weekend before last and they have now sent their review through to Air BnB, another 5 *****. Of course we are over the moon! We really do appreciate people taking their valuable time out to write us a review.
We loved hosting this couple, here's what Elizabeth and Stephen had to say......

Absolutely stunning cottage and an even more beautiful couple that host it, Mags and Gra went above and beyond to make our stay extra special, everything was immaculate and they catered to every little detail. Don't even get me started on Mag’s baking, she prepared a stunning afternoon tea for us and her home made scones were to die for along with the rest of the gorgeous treats, couldn’t recommend this place more!!!!

LOL!!! Honestly no money exchanged hands for this review!!
I'm as shocked as anyone reading the below!! Makes all our hard work worth it, Louise and her lovely daughter Daisey wanted to spend some quality time here. It must be getting popular as we had another mum and daughter here only two weeks ago!

Wow 🤩 If you don’t believe in fairies when you arrive - you will once you leave! Mags & Gra are the most genuine, friendly, attentive hosts who make you feel like a member of family. Fairy Cottage is the prettiest, cutest & most magical of places. We were greeted with a pot of tea & a slab of Mag’s homemade chocolate cake upon arrival , alongside fresh bread, milk & a pot of her homemade jam. The cottage is absolutely immaculate, the bedding is all from The White Company & as for the power shower - wow - if that doesn’t wake you up then nothing will. Mags has the most serene beauty cellar in her house next door with a full menu of treatments from massages , facials to blow dry's. Of course I had to treat myself to an aromatherapy massage which was sheer bliss & featured a perky blend of Neroli & Geranium. The hot tub is secluded & the perfect size with stunning views of the countryside - we were even treated to the braying of a nearby donkey. Book this hidden gem right NOW !!!

We have been busy over Christmas and New Year. We have met some amazing people who through their line of work cannot leave reviews which we understand, however these two lovely young ladies (see their comment below) were able to leave a review, they gave us 5 stars, which added up to us receiving 10 x 5* booking rating feed back in a row, making us Air BnB Super Hosts again! YAY!! Made our day, thank you so much ###

We stayed two nights at the fairy cottage over new year and we honestly couldn’t fault Mags or Gra. They truly went above and beyond for us and nothing was too much trouble. Already talking about going back and going sledging on their fields haha. They were both so welcoming from the get go. The cottage was more than spotless and just had such a warm and cosy feel to it. We already can’t wait to go back soon!

Ps. I have been dying to meet Mandy for years 😂🙌. Mandy has been my tester for Block the Shock Saddle Ware products ( Stable Environment Limted) for many years🙌. We loved showing her and her husband around Halifax Minster, Shibden Hall, Haworth and Happy Valley. Great day out!

We have just had a two day break at this enchanting cottage. Mags and Gra are the most brilliant hosts, the cottage is spotlessly clean and was fabulously dressed up for Halloween. The afternoon tea was totally delicious with sandwiches, home made cakes and scones. The bed was very comfortable.
We look forward to returning

I don't usually write reviews, I'm normally one to read them but I just had to write one for this place. We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Fairy Cottage. Mags and Gra were the best hosts we've ever had. They provided a lovely homemade afternoon tea, my friend is gluten free and they adjusted the menu for their dietary requirements. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they both went out of their way to ensure we had the most amazing break. We received lovely parting gifts, the kitchen cupboards and fridge were fully of goodies, ate homemade carrot cake with them before we went out for the day and we received a cup of tea whilst we played bowls outside. Whilst we were out on a walk we seen Mags halfway and she took us on an adventure to some lovely off the track places we wouldn't have gone to and gave us a photography session! Honestly amazing, well recommended and the hot tub was a bonus. Thank you so much both.

We had an amazing couple here at Fairy Cottage this weekend. It's always a pleasure running the Air BnB when we meet guests such as these. They left us the below review, which was very kind of them.
PS. The note stuck on the empty bowls made us laugh (they had my homemade rhubarb and ginger crumble), it read...."The crumble was EPIC! Thank you so much ###"

It’s not just the big things that make a place stand out, it’s all the little things - Fairy Cottage has these in spades! Mags and Gra have an amazing space to share with you with lots of personal touches and all the things that make a break special. Mags and Gra are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular and facilities top notch. We will be definitely staying there again when we travel back to Halifax. If Mags has any homemade blackcurrant jam available then definitely have a taste!

I think our Air BnB must hold the world record for people coming to stay that actually live in our area!! LOL! We have had the lovely pleasure of hosting Mariah and Rodney this weekend. They gave us a 5 Star review on Air BnB. It really is so good of people to take time out of their busy day to write a review, we feel really lucky meeting such lovely caring people. Me and my husband stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary weekend. Mags decorated the place for us to celebrate, it looked so beautiful.
Mags showed us around the place, even had the hidden gems of some treats along the cottage. Hot tub was ready for us on arrival. 2nd day we went into the hot tub mid-afternoon my husband booked a massage with Mags we got the privilege to sit and watch the football in their room with Gra and Mags before the treatment. My husband had his treatment , he left feeling like a complete different person, absolutely amazing massage.
Great company. Beautiful rhubarb and custard made by Mags after the treatment.
Was an absolute pleasure to stay here, from the moment we walked through that door we felt welcomed. They are wonderful hosts and amazing couple so easy to have a chat with and a laugh. Thankyou ever so much for having us we cant wait to come back again. I 1000% recommend the hot tub and Mags massage's.

We have had the most relaxed and enjoyable time at Fairy Cottage. This was our first family holiday after having our little girl who is 3 months old. We cannot recommend Mags enough. Sadly Gra was sick so didn’t get to meet him but Mags was an incredible host. She couldn’t do enough for us. Mags had so many places to recommend really couldn’t do enough for us. So welcoming and friendly. The cottage was indeed magical it had everything you would need - you will not find an air b&b like it! We visited the Italian (2Amici) which is a 1 minute walk next door they was also amazing. Food was incredible and great service. Also gave us a discount with the help from mags. Mags honestly couldn’t do enough for us from offering to look after our little girl whilst we relaxed in the hot tub. To bringing us some of her delicious homemade crumble and custard. Attention to detail around the cottage is second to none there is nothing she didn’t think of. We will be returning soon.
Thank you so much for this weekend we really have had a great time. The cottage is absolutely beautiful you really have done a great job.
