Prepping for a Personal Style Session tomorrow and thinking about how quickly first impressions are made.
Turns out, it only takes about 7 seconds for someone to form an opinion when they meet you.
(And according to the old saying — you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression!)
Some research even says it’s faster — just a tenth of a second, according to psychologists at Princeton!
What’s even more interesting?
Most of that first impression isn’t about what you say — it’s about the nonverbal stuff:
appearance, eye contact, and body language.
Style plays a much bigger role than we sometimes realize.
