I'm so delighted to be sharing the stage again with the Yorkshire Harpist, Fiona Katie Widdop, along with The Greyhounds for a candlelit concert at Halifax Minster on Friday April 4th.

I will be sharing more music from the Anne Lister collection along with tales of her teenage years, whilst Fiona Katie will be taking us on a magical trip to Wales to hear the music Anne would have heard on her trip to Llangollen. The Greyhounds will be recreating their work Opal's Comet, a song cycle which explores the seasons of grief....originally performed from the deck of a narrow boat journeying along the canals of Calderdale.

So can you believe it’s here:
**ANNE LISTER FESTIVAL 2025** PROGRAM(ME) LAUNCH DAY HAS ARRIVED!!!
Yes, that’s right: today is the day that the Program(me) for the 2025 Anne Lister Festival - all 70+ events - none of which are yet out in the public domain..! - will be revealed!

The Programme goes Live, on the *Anne Lister of Halifax* website (www.annelisterofhalifax.co.uk), at *1800hrsGMT* - and this time is to ensure that there isn’t a clash with the ALBW Live which is taking place at 5pmGMT.
The ALBW Live can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15jrDM7XgD/?mibextid=wwXIfr - and Calderdale’s Anne Lister Programme Co-ordinator (ie the Festival organiser) will be talking about the Festival program(me) then so be sure to join that Live!

So friends! - you know that Calderdale’s program(me) is being released this Saturday, 11th January (ahead of ticket release the following Saturday, 18th) - and this will be on this page and on the Anne Lister of Halifax website (link in posts below) 🤗🤗🤗.

You also know by now that we have *BIGGG* events that you will *not* want to miss, on the Saturday (29th March), Sunday (30th March) and in the evening of Wednesday (2nd April) - none of which have gone public yet of course (these will all and only be unveiled when the program(me) goes live on Saturday) - but make sure you also keep **Friday evening, 4th April** clear too…: ohhh you won’t want to miss that one either. …!!!

And of course there will be so many Community things happening all through the Festival, during the day and evenings: stay tuned here for all of the info! 🎩❤️

Hello friends 👋 - so just another wee teaser ahead of our Anne Lister program(me) release this Saturday, 11th January.. 🤗🎩:
Exciting events are happening every day throughout the Festival - and remember that is Saturday 29th March - Sunday 6th April *inclusive*.
As you know there are *big* events on on Saturday and Sunday, 29th and 30th March 😅 - but also, for those of you who wanted a repeat of one ‘big’ evening event in particular from last year: **Wednesday 2nd April** - put this in your diaries!!!
*The details for THIS event won’t go out until the Festival Program(me) is released, this Saturday, 11th Jan* - so hold this evening clear, and all will be revealed then….

And remember all of the details will be on this page, as well as on the Anne Lister of Halifax website!

There are events on every single day of the Festival (teaser in pic below..): over 70 throughout the festival in fact! - and don’t forget that opening weekend starts with a real blast..: you will NOT want to miss events on the Saturday (29th) or Sunday (30th) March, believe us 🙏.

Hello friends, wherever you are 👋 Happy New Year to you all and we hope that you are all ok! - so are you getting excited for this year’s yet?? - we are!!!

In fact we *can’t wait* - and with just a week to go now until our Festival Program(me) is released: yes, this goes live on Saturday 11th January, HERE, and of course on the www.annelisterofhalifax.co.uk website (tickets then go on sale the week after: all details will be on the website) - we just wanted to remind you that the Festival begins on **Saturday 29th March** and runs through right until *Sunday 6th April* (inclusive).
