Hello friends wherever you are! As always we hope that you are all as safe and well as you can be..
So (date-wise!) a month on from Anne Lister’s birthday when so many of us gathered in her home town of , at that most special of our community events: the annual Flower Laying at the sculpture of Anne Lister in The Piece Hall - and what a tremendously poignant and important event that always is 🙏 - we just wanted to thank you again for all of your support.

Thank you also to those of you (so many of you!) who have already filled in the *post-Festival survey*. This is so important for future funding for the event - and we read each and every one of your comments!
One of the things we are hearing loud and clear so far is how much so many of you loved ALHQ - aka ‘the Hub’ this year.
Trust us: this will be a central point of our planning for future events for the Anne Lister community; we loved this too - the events in the space, and the energy that you all brought! Thank you.. 🙏

Watch the video for more, but the headlines are: the Anne Lister Festival 2025 welcomed an incredible, *at least 650 visitors* to the festival, *from at least 30 countries again*! This equals the number of countries from last year - and *Thank You*, each and every one of you who was able to come.
We are already working on the Anne Lister Festival for 2026 - with lots of exciting events that you have told us you want 😂 - and we hope to see you there… ❤️🎩

Hello friends wherever you are!
So with only **5 days** until the start of the Anne Lister Festival for 2025 we really are on the countdown now, and are extremely busy finalising our prep ready to welcome you all!

We hope that you have tickets for all of the events that you want to go to - including..:
The spectacular Candlelit Concert that the festival is putting on at the magnificent Halifax Minster on Friday 4th April (7.30-10pm). This not -to-be-missed event features the amazing The Square Pianist, the wonderful Fiona Katie Widdop - the Yorkshire Harpist herself! - and then we only have the incredible - very good friends with Mr Wilson's Second Liners to round things off! - can you believe that??
You really don’t want to miss this one!

So a couple of people have asked us whether there is going to be tea and coffee available in for the duration of the Festival: and I’m delighted to let you all know that Yes - there will be! And a reminder that ALHQ will be open every day of the festival - that’s Saturday 29th March - Sunday 6th April (inclusive).
We can’t wait to welcome you all from Saturday 29th March - and stay safe and well until then… 🙏 🎩❤️
