Did you know that the Trip Advisor group have decided to discontinue advertising holiday cottages from November 1? We have 22 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️reviews on that site and hope they don’t disappear.

How many of our 1400+ followers are 🐈 🐱 🐈‍⬛ lovers? We ❤️ 🐈 and have 3.
We have had feline guests before but do like to discuss beforehand.
Here is some very sensible advice if you are thinking of adding to your 🐱 family.

JUST SHARING ADVICE FOR ANYONE GETTING A NEW CAT OR KITTEN 😺

IT DOESN'T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT 👍

You need to be patient with any new pet 🫂
•

Be sure you are ready to have another cat & the landlord allows pets if home isn't owned 😉
•

Please ensure you can cope if you have children because these cats/kittens can often be scared, hide & never never & I mean never ever try to introduce them to other pets straight away!

These cats are amazing, & they make loving often aloof companions with personalities to boot 👍
•
•
Base camp is often needed to allow them time to settle & every cat/kitten is different, etc!
•
•
Never ever put two strange cats together because it won't start off well at all 😭
•
•
It takes time & patience for them to adjust, but in time, they will become more themselves 🥰

From next Sunday, 21st July, bus services will return to Halifax Bus Station as construction work is completed and the station fully reopened.

Thank you for your patience while the works have been ongoing.

Alongside improved facilities, safety measures and better access, the new station will enable passengers to switch between bus services more easily.

Some guests prefer to book direct whereas others prefer to use an OTA. We are pleased to be awarded Superhost status again. We think it is the 24th 🥇we have achieved.

We ❤️local artist Kate Lycett and have her calendar 📆 showcasing all the local places our guests can visit. Come and see the moors, valleys and settlements of Calderdale for yourself.

I made map! I made a map so that I could understand the shape of where I live. I didn't really care about the roads. I wanted to know what the moors were called and which rivers run along which valleys. I don't think it will be very useful for travel, just interesting to know where you've been.

I liked making it and i didn't want to stop. Now i have more ideas for more maps!

This is the very last thing for the exhibition which opens at Bankfield Museum in a week!. 'Engineers & Chocolatiers' opens on Saturday 29th June at 10am. But there's a preview on the Friday 28th - please drop me a line if youd like to come to that. I've bought a new frock and I'm quite excited.

Congratulations 🙌 to our local brass band. Unfortunately we couldn’t be at the greatest show on Friday but 2023 was fantastic 🎵 🎶 🎺

Now the last couple of results are in, we can now proudly announce that we are the 2024 Saddleworth Whit Friday Champions!

With our collection of 6 1st place prizes firmly placing us as overall winners, and some individual prizes picked up too, including Best Solo Cornet, Best Euphonium, Best Basses, Best Bass Trombone, and a few deportment prizes too, we have brought the title back to Brighouse once again.

Thank you to everyone who showed their support for the band on our way round, it makes the day extremely special!

A huge thank you also to our fantastic guest professional conductor Garry Cutt, your leadership was fabulous as always.
