Some people think the Canaries are barren - just endless lava fields. Here we have the Island of La Palma. Lush, cool in the hills , hot at the beach... morning hike, Then swim, then Rum distillery then home for an al fresco dinner!

Great day in Tenerife, good sailing then 1.5 hrs alongside many Short finned pilot whales, swim and into Los Gigantes. Off to the Island of La Palma tomorrow!

Cowes week 40th birthday on water race training... plus this fantastic, up for it group entered cruiser class C 1st race of the week... with virtually no prior experience!
We came 12th in class, so that is not too shabby!
And Yachtforce ordered the weather too!

A great weekend for a 'surprise' special anniversary sailing event with a visit to Cowes and a drop off in Bucklers Hard. Checked out the seals in the Beaulieu River - they have had a pup! And 'Steven' Seagull made a cheeky landing on the horse shoe buoy!
We have some reduced price weekend and days coming up... get on the water!

Round the Island Race today, Saturday. Gusts of 30 knots due on the startline. Yachtforce Jazz and Yachtforce Oarsome Dream starting at 0620.
Here was practice day on YF Jazz.

ROUND THE ISLAND RACE DAY - Saturday 15th June
This is going to be a very exciting race day. Simply stay out of trouble and do not break anyone - or anything!

Forecast:
SW/WSW 14-18 gusting 25 kts for the start, backing SW 22-27 gusting 34 kts around the back of the Island by noon for the first part of the afternoon, easing WSW/SW 20-25 gusting 30kts by late afternoon & WSW 18-23 gusting 25 kts by sunset. Showers, some squally, are more likely in the morning. 14-16°C on land, expected sea surface temperature much the same.

Today, our crew has mainly been entertained by over 150 dolphins! Watching them, swimming with them. Finally, Suzanne has got to see them. And what an interaction! They swam up to 3m of our guys snorkeling in the Argolic Gulf!
