Busy Babes has been created specifically for babies and young children, to provide them with a safe and supportive environment in which to play and explore, whilst presenting them with a wealth of sensory experiences. To a newborn baby the world around them is full of new sensations and their brain soaks up all of this information

like a sponge. As they grow and develop they investigate their surroundings using all of their senses, adding to their bank of knowledge. It is this information that they will later draw upon when trying to make sense of new experiences. Exploring through play, both independently and whilst being guided and encouraged by their carers, is how young children build up this knowledge. It is essential for the complex development of both verbal language and non-verbal communication skills as well as being vital for children's physical development, as they fine tune their movements and gain a stronger awareness of the way their bodies can move within their environment.
