What to do on a rainy Saturday…. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Uig Sands restaurant. 🍽️
Great food, fabulous service immaculate facilities and all in a stunning location… what’s not to love ❤️

We’ve been lucky enough to have enjoyed a spell of calm, dry days recently with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. 🌅

The first phase of CalMac’s Summer 2025 timetable is now available to view. Bookings for phase 1 routes will open online on Thursday 19 December at 08:00.

Information about routes in phase 2, as well as turn up and go routes, will be issued as soon as possible in the new year.

As we all prepare for the Christmas holidays I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our past, present and future guests for supporting our little self catering business over the last 4 years.
It’s been so lovely to read all the wonderful reviews guests have left and to see so many re-book is testimony to us surely doing something right …. Thank you all 🙏
We love greeting and getting to know you all. Sharing our knowledge on local eateries and places to visit etc.
It’s never a problem to light the wood burner to warm up the hot tub for your arrival back at the Bothy after a days exploring.
We want you to be able to enjoy your break to the full. Harris is our home (born and grew up on the island and both our children attend the local school) and running our business ourselves means we are able to give our utmost attention to the Bothy and its guests.
We are filling up fast for 2025 but do have some short breaks available in Spring.
Weekends are more limited now as are full weeks but there are still available dates to choose from.

A delicious lunch was had this afternoon trying out the Bays community centres summer pop up restaurant Blasta Pasta. 🍝
If you enjoy seafood and fresh pasta simply cooked then it’s a must try on your Harris holiday…….And us locals are delighted to see a new eatery open too 😋
