Ok….if you are staying at Tigh Chailein this year and would like to visit World Heritage Site St Kilda, please contact Kilda Cruises in advance. The trips are a once in a lifetime experience, and get fully booked up very quickly. Dont wait until you arrive! 😊

When you visit Tigh Chailein and head north, exploring Lewis, I can’t recommend a visit to the Cross Inn highly enough. A great pub and restaurant.

Do you intend to travel with Angus to St Kilda this season? Our first trip is scheduled for the 22nd of April and we have some places available for the first couple of weeks, but from the 6th of May until the 22nd of July we have only two individual places remaining. Late July , August and September have a good availability.

Looking Back to Look Forward

Our season is just around the corner and guess how we are feeling? Excited, nostalgic and optimistic because 2024 is going to be a different year for us.
After some seasons behind the scenes guiding Kilda Cruises, owner Angus will be back behind the wheel of our beloved boat 'Hirta'. Angus is proud to be an Honorary Member of the St Kilda Club in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the island and is delighted to once again lead trips to the archipelago.

This will be our 20th year running St Kilda trips and we want to bring the same energy and care to each trip that we did in the early days of pioneering the first regular day trip to St Kilda.

We are cutting back the number of trips that we run each week to three to ensure that we can give each trip the focus it requires. The boat will be maintained in tip top condition and we will be able to mitigate against the weather by having a two day window for each trip that we plan. We are not running standby trips this year.

We know how keenly anticipated each trip is for the individual - whether it is for big birthday celebration, to fulfill the ambition of a lifetime, or on a whim to answer the call of your adventurous spirit - and we want to ensure a happy and fulfilling day. The very best we can make it.

It's taken a wee while to get into the swing of business things this year 🙄 but we finally have some dates for as we gear up to open again next month 🧡

Take away evenings, tasting menu and wine flights - something for everyone 🍴

Our website bookings for the season will go live on the 1st of February for bookings between March & October 2024. We look forward to the busy season ahead as we deep clean, create menus, and do all the behind the scenes bits and bobs in preparation to enhance your dining experience with us 😇
