The first ever Great How Stean Gorge Duck Race will be held on Tuesday 1st August at How Stean Gorge in aid of 🚁Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the 🧗‍♂️Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association. Both organisations provide essential emergency services for visitors and residents alike in such a remote part of Yorkshire.

🚁Yorkshire Air Ambulance
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity relies on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire.

To keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances in the air we need to raise £19,000 per day.

The Charity serves a population of approximately 5 million people, across 4 million acres. The two air ambulances operate from airbases at The Nostell Priory Estate, Wakefield and RAF Topcliffe, Thirsk.

⛑️Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue
For over 70 years UWFRA has been rescuing people and animals from the caves, mineshafts, fells and crags of Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale. Rescue services remain free to all, day or night and are financed entirely by fundraising events and donations.
