A wonderful lunch at in to say thank you to local friends and to the incredible team who prepare the homes we have in this part of Lake Maggiore. They take such great care of our guests during their stay and we are so grateful to them for all their hard work.

What a way to end the working day enjoying a wonderful escorted walk through the estate at with their fabulous guide Irene. The estate is home to some incredible artworks. As well as being an expert on those, Irene also shared so much information about the trees, plants, flowers, birds and animals that make it their home. An hour extremely well spent enjoying the warmth of the sun as it set behind the Piemonte hills. Thank you Irene x

The sun was certainly shining for our visit to Villa Piemonte today…. It was lovely to enjoy some blue skies. Although it did make it difficult for us to tear ourselves away for our next viewing! Those views are just breathtaking!

Breakfast with a view this morning. I have to say the pool looks rather inviting - sadly, we’re heading straight out to enjoy more villa viewings this morning so we can’t take advantage of it. Hopefully later! 🤞

I have been blown away by the beauty of today. In fact, so much so that I kept having to pull over to try and capture it! I didn’t really succeed but these were some of my best attempts!

We have viewed some stunning villas today - we can’t wait to welcome our guests to stay there!

Tonight I have headed down to the beautiful wine region of and am spending the next couple of nights at near

I will be sharing lots more about this incredible property in the next few days but I couldn’t hold back from sharing with you the most amazing dish I enjoyed at the restaurant tonight.

This was genuinely the BEST, most DELICIOUS main course I have ever had. I can only describe it as a perfectly cooked egg surrounded by a potato cream served on leeks and topped with nuts and truffles but this description definitely does not do it justice. And it was all washed down by the most wonderful Barolo suggested by Stefano who was the perfect host for my incredible dinner.

- if you haven’t tried this place yet, you need to add it to your list!

Super excited that we will be able to offer guests a stay on the beautiful Lake Monate in the future.

This little lake is only 3 km long and 1 km wide and is situated just east of Lake Maggiore. Its waters are considered among the purest of all the lakes in Italy.

The villa is incredible - we can’t wait to share photos with you soon but in the meantime here are some pictures taken from our he garden to whet your appetite!

But we’re off to the beautiful Lake Maggiore today to view some new villas and to check out some of our existing portfolio now that we have reached the end of the season. We always do this to ensure that we maintain and, where possible, improve standards year on year.

We’re big fans of here at Bookings For You. So much so that we’re already two thirds of the way through the Christmas cake and it’s not even mid November!

So when we heard it was the world championships in this weekend (who knew there was such a thing!!!) we were inspired to get in the festive spirit Italian style by making our own.

An hour later though and we have been completely distracted by all the delicious recipes in Easy Bakes! As a result the panettone will have to wait until next weekend! Giuseppe’s peach cake has lured us in!!

Gorgeous (albeit super hot) afternoon in San Miniato in #tuscany

The birthplace of #puccini, Lucca is the perfect place to enjoy a taste of opera. Last weekend we enjoyed a wonderful evening of #opera here. Held in the church of San Giovanni, which has exceptional acoustics, two professional singers are accompanied by a pianist. We had the pleasure of listening to two incredible soprano singers but we’re already planning a return visit so that we can also experience a tenor singing too. For those visiting the city, these concerts can be enjoyed every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Concerts last approximately 1 hour. We’re sampling some of the #wineries in #tuscany this afternoon. This way we can best advise our clients where to visit when they stay in one of our villas. @tenutaadamo is a great wine tasting experience if you want to try both red and white wines and want to really learn about wine production and tasting. Situated close to #lucca they can even help organise transport to and from the winery.

This morning we’re in #barga #tuscany. It’s included on the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy but it has another more unusual claim to fame too. It’s also widely regarded to be the most Scottish town in Italy! At the end of the 19th century a number of Italians emigrated from Barga to Scotland. This exodus continued during Mussolini’s rule. There were many returnees over the years and now up to 40% of present-day residents have Scottish relatives. Expect to hear a broad Italian accent one minute and a broad Glaswegian one the next! They have a Scottish festival each year as well as a fish n chips festival! #scottish #italian
