This October half term Smugglers Adventure will be hosting a number of spooky events and activities to guide you through this Halloween season! 🎃👻

Search for the Spirits Trail 🗺️ – Over the October half term Smugglers Adventure will be hosting a spooky trail! This includes an activity sheet and the hunt for the spirits that live inside the caves! This trail is included in general admissions.

Ghost Hunter Night 👻 – On Halloween night! Looking for something to fill your paranormal plans this Halloween? Ghost Hunter nights returns with an acre of the underground caves to explore using state of the art ghost hunting equipment! Tickets are available via the link in our bio.

Magick Hastings 🎬 - This Halloween, prepare to explore the dark and mysterious side of Hastings like never before, as the much-anticipated documentary ‘Magick Hastings’ premieres in the legendary Smugglers Caves. Tickets for this event have now SOLD OUT.

Meet Captain Courage of the Crimson Tide Pirates this Hastings Pirate Weekender at Hastings Castle! Hear the amazing true story of The Diamond Ship and the richest hoard ever seized in the history of crime. This historic feat was kept secret and taken to the grave by almost all involved… until now!

The Captain will be at Hastings Castle regaling us with tales from the briny deep within the walls of the ancient cliffside ruins with its stunning panoramic sea views. (11amm - 3pm) Entrance fee applies.

The event is included as part of the attraction ticket price – no additional booking is required. Please note these sites are independent of one another and entrance to one site does not entitle admission to the other.

⚔️Hastings Castle is opening its gates to the public for February half term 2024! ⚔️

Take a step back in time and discover the history of Britain’s first Norman castle. Wander through the ancient castle grounds, and don’t forget to explore the whispering dungeons and the remains of the chapel too!

🕰Full opening times below:

February 2024 Opening Times
Saturday 10th– Sunday 18th and Saturday 24th & 25th February. 10am until 4pm.

March 2024 Opening Times
Open weekends 2nd & 3rd, 9th & 10th, 16th & 17th 23rd & 24th. 10am until 5pm.

Fully open from 27th March until 31st October 2024. Open 10am until 5pm.

👑ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY👑
Harold Godwineson, head of the most powerful noble family in England, is crowned King Harold II. On his deathbed, Edward supposedly designated Harold the royal heir, but this claim was disputed by William, duke of Normandy and cousin of the late king.

🎯On October 14, 1066, Harold met William at the Battle of Hastings, and the king was killed. According to legend, he was shot through the eye with an arrow. On Christmas Day, William the Conqueror was crowned the first Norman king of England, and English language and culture were changed forever. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
