And just like that summer 24 is over !

So I’m back in the office, which is great as I do have one of the best jobs - I’m back working on quotes - thanks for your patience as I did take it a little slower.

I have some amazing enquiries for honeymoons, hot Xmas holidays and I’m already working on summer 2025 as some of the flights and rates are out !

A few words about packing and suitcases ahead of the busy travel season and to help you travel efficiently and potentially help mitigate inconvenience of a lost bag:

1. Make a Checklist: comprehensive checklists to include regulars for any trip electronics and toiletries. List and check off items as you pack them, take photos of expensive items. Give a list for your children/Husband to use whatever age!
2. Use Packing Cubes: keep your suitcase organized and make it easy to find specific items without unpacking everything. They also compress your clothes, saving space. Now mix these cubes so everyone’s items are in each bag no good if all bags delayed/lost !
3. Use Travel-Sized Containers: comply with airline regulations (100 ml is still a thing in most locations) saves space and weight. Label and Store them in a clear, resealable plastic bag.
4. Wear Bulky Items
5. Invest in a Good Carry-On: A high-quality, durable carry-on bag that can be rolled and fits airline regulations can save you from baggage fees and mishandling issues. Look for one with multiple compartments for better organization and ideally fits on your other suitcase too or easy to roll along
6. Check Weight Limits: Weigh your luggage before you leave for the airport to avoid excess baggage fees. A portable luggage scale can be very handy for this purpose.
7 Take bikini /shorts /tshirt in hand luggage and after this weeks events I’d even recommend every person has an outfit in each persons suitcase so if 1 or 2 bags are lost you have your bikini and shorts for the next day and potentially a few outfits until you are reunited with your luggage
8. When you checkin put the correct luggage receipt onto the correct boarding passes at the time so you quickly know in the lost bag lottery who is the victim.
9. Airtags or similar are also a must I’ve recently experienced the depth of knowledge and help available from BA or equivalent services and its poor so seeing where your case is super useful and more reassuring.
10. Securely Label your suitcase with your mobile number,home address and Destination address too - TRAVEL INSURANCE is a must !

So this time last week we had a real #fridayfeeling and were loving the 30 degrees heat, blue sea, sky and relaxation ! oh how I’d love to be back in #greece today - we had such an amazing time ! we really appreciated this holiday after 5 months of that new normal and COVID restrictions ! Between us as a family we all had so many holidays cancelled or rescheduled and I can’t even count how many trips I’ve cancelled or rebooked for clients. it’s been a hard year for everyone - for us we’ve been relatively lucky especially health wise, ok work and business have taken big hits, GCSEs weren’t taken and so many plans scuppered ! But we’ve stayed well so with family in Greece and greece being a place we know inside out - we headed off to #ourhappyplace for 10 days of #sunseasanitizer ! I was anxious we might need to #quarantine on return but thank you @grantshapps we avoided it ! But I think it’s something you may have to allow for if you go away though as the situation is so fluid and beyond control ! Barbados ! Such a beautiful place this beach is stunning. We’ve been so lucky to have these few days away here amid this ever evolving covid-19 crisis ! We’ve actually wanted to go home as soon as we arrived and we’ve discussed it non-stop. It’s been so hard being away from our family as this situation has unfolded. But we are now checked on to our flight, counting down the hours and fingers crossed we head home tonight!
