Covid- 19 UpDate

During the current situation I am talking with individuals who had bookings with us for July & August that are no longer possible.
I would appreciate your patience and understanding and that I intend to speak to each affected party; this process may take a little time.
Be assured that cancelled bookings, for August, will be refunded, at the earliest opportunity and definitely before the end of July,

To All the lovely people who have supported Pembrokeshire Tipis over all the years it has been over looking Keeston Moor, I am sorry to inform you that we have decided to relocate.

2021 will see the tipis in a new location and exciting times are ahead to find a new field that suits the tipis and offers the same individual camping experience you have all enjoyed in the past.

Follow us on our search for a new home by checking into the face book page and website to keep informed as to where we might pop up next year....be assured we will be back next year.

Until then, stay safe, keep in touch and feel free to share your pictures of staying at Pembrokeshire Tipis in the past..

Corona’s Letter To Humanity
The earth whispered but you did not hear.
The earth spoke but you did not listen
The earth screamed but you turned her off.

And so I was born...

I was not born to punish you..
I was born to awaken you..

The earth cried out for help...

Massive flooding. But you didn't listen.
Burning fires. But you didn't listen.
Strong hurricanes. But you didn't listen.
Terrifying Tornadoes. But you didn't listen.

You still don't listen to the earth when....

Ocean animals are dying due to pollutants in the waters.
Glaciers melting at an alarming rate.
Severe drought.

You didn't listen to how much negativity the earth is receiving.

Non-stop wars.
Non-stop greed.

You just kept going on with your life..
No matter how much hate there was..
No matter how many killings daily..

It was more important to get that latest iPhone than worry about what the earth was trying to tell you..

But now I am here.

And I've made the world stop on its tracks.

I've made YOU finally listen.
I've made you take refuge.
I've made you stop thinking about materialistic things..

Now you are like the earth...

You are only worried about YOUR survival.

How does that feel?

I give you fever.. as the fires burn on earth.
I give you respiratory issues.. as your pollution filled the earth air.

I gave you weakness as the earth weakens every day.

I took away your comforts..
Your outings.
The things you would use to forget about the planet and its pain.

And I made the world stop...

And now...
China has better air quality..
Skys are clear blue because factories are not spewing pollution unto the earth's air.

The water in Venice is clean and dolphins are being seen. Because the gondola boats that pollute the water are not being used.

YOU are having to take time to reflect on what is important in your life.

Again I am not here to punish you.. I am here to Awaken you...

When all this is over and I am gone... Please remember these moments..

Listen to the earth.
Listen to your soul.
Stop Polluting the earth.
Stop Fighting among each other.
Stop caring about materialistic things.
And start loving your neighbors.
Start caring about the earth and all its creatures.

Hello Folks,

What interesting times we are living in at the moment - I just hope you are all staying safe and well.

Flo and I have been looking after the poles and the stored tipis, hoping that Welsh Gov will soon give us a green light to put the Tipis up for July and August.

To account for social distancing, Meadow and Sky tipi will be the 2 tipis for families that share the same household and are situated a good distance apart.

Whole site bookings will only be available for households that live together and i am very sorry to say i cannot accommodate groups from separate households , in the same tipi.

If you are one of my regular dive groups. i can give you the number for the front field which would be able t accommodate individual , socially distanced tents!

The rules don’t change because it’s a bank holiday weekend.

In Wales, all non-essential travel must still be avoided.

Staying away from the place you live, without a reasonable excuse, is an offence.

Campsites and tourist attractions, along with many popular footpaths and beauty spots will still be there later.

I first came across Anna Rowland's work a year ago and it was obvious to approach her this year to see if she would do a piece of art based on sky and meadows for Pembrokeshire Tipis. Anna Rowlands is a talented artist who comes from Solva in Pembrokeshire and who was nearly lost to Art until she rekindled her love of drawing and creating when she randomly came across a chap called Ryland Angel, who wanted her to draw him a dragon - At that time, Anna was only doing seascapes and still life, she felt she did not have the imagination to draw from her imagination . Ryland encouraged her to draw dragons.....and boy do we like her dragons - and naturally there are dragons living in Solva and Pembrokeshire. Once Anna started drawing dragons, she realized she did indeed have a flare for imaginative art and now says " I step into a magical world, delving deeper and deeper into my imagination and I am lost in time. I am stimulated by colour, pattern and texture and take inspiration from the natural beauty of Pembrokeshire's landscape. Introducing Rachel Lewis.- A very talented and wise young lady. Rachel was fortunate enough to grow up in Pembrokeshire; in the harbour village of Solva,. This has meant growing up in, on and by the sea - it feels like it might be in her blood - I haven't found any evidence of a mermaids tail. Last year I saw Rachel's simple line drawings as part of the "Breaking out of the Gallery" event in Haverfordwest, and I started to watch her work evolve. While in Bristol studying, Rachel started exploring contemporary art with a huge interest in quick, simplistic line work, which she creates anywhere...and on a budget. Rachel's fundamental aim is to make art accessible- be it on wine bottle labels, cards, hats, tee shirts or murals - her aim is to create work which is not directed at a specific gender or age group , just simple work for anyone - and quick. Pembrokeshire Tipis are glad Holly Davies has agreed to undertake some art work for us, transforming Tipi 3 into Meadow Tipi, as it overlooks the valley and moor adjacent to the Tipi field Holly told me - "Delving into the natural world, I aim to invite the viewer to look at the details around them which are often overlooked. My passion and interest for wildlife began at an early age. I construct delicate and intricate structures influenced by scenes from the garden and vintage books. Using fine art and textile backgrounds as grounding to my work. I experiment with the use of line by working with machine embroidery, printmaking and illustration techniques. To me, my sewing machine is another drawing tool. I am currently based in Pembrokeshire after graduating from Pembrokeshire College with a BA in Design Studies." This little video is the start of Holly's project, we will keep you up dated as her design for the kitchen evolves and the site for the meadow Tipi is prepared for the season. Peaceful, Playful Pembrokeshire - your choice

We are a family run business providing a magical, rural campsite with three tipis, set up with everything you need for a fabulous alternative camping stay....

Pembrokeshire Tipis are based in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National park , overlooking a secluded valley and Keeston Moor.

In the distance sit the Preseli Hills, or Blue mountains, with their own mystery and enchanting tales of history, geology and Welsh Folklore.

We are very close to numerous local beaches and sheltered harbours; each with their own character and charm.

If you are looking for sand and surf, then Newgale and Whitsands are the places to head, alternatively the coastal villages of Little Haven, Broad Haven and Solva have a charm of their own - quaint pubs and countless coastal walks to feed the soul.

Getting on the water is not a hard feat either, boat charters and day trips out to the islands off the coast are accessible and run throughout the summer months; if adventure is your game then there are dive sites, sea safaris and guided outward bound activities like coastering and kayaking in Dale and St Davids.

Best of all, the tipi site is set off any roads; is surrounded by meadows, mostly fallow or with ponies, and the vast skyline is uninterrupted, the clouds alone, rolling in off the bay are a perfect cure to over worked individuals seeking some peace, quiet and tranquillity.

There are excellent cycle routes; many of them traffic free and Pembrokeshire tipis is an excellent spot to base yourself for a training camp, either for cycle, triathlon or Iron man training.

For bird lovers the field is visited by skylarks, buntings, finches, sparrows, swallows and swifts and the Barn owl likes to do the odd evening fly by if all is calm and quiet - fox and badger have trails that do cross the meadow and they seem unconcerned by visitors, if they are respectful and the buzzards, kites and kestrels often give a wonderful display of how flying is really done - if conditions suit.

The night sky is why I took this business over - the light pollution is minimal and the vast skies give excellent opportunities to star gaze and admire the constellations above; the sunrise and sunsets seldom disappoint and rarely fails to amaze those that stay.

Our philosophy is to give folk a place to unwind, relax and enjoy being in nature., a place to reconnect with family, friends and nature.

There are many, young talented people in Pembrokeshire and we like to introduce our guests to some of these creative individuals by having some of their work on display in various areas of the tipi site. Look out for it if you come stay.

All we ask is that if you come to stay, you recycle, respect and show positive regard for the surroundings and beautiful Pembrokeshire while you visit; if you take a little bit of Pembrokeshire Tipi peace home with you- then we will be well chuffed.

We would love to share this space with you for a short time; we are blessed to live here and know how special it is.
