This converted barn is the smallest accommodation on offer at Upper Calffield Farm. It is perfect for a couple or there is a sofabed for additional guests. The Studio can be rented alone or together with the barn or house for larger parties.
The studio is accessed via the main farmhouse courtyard and is totally self contained with its own parking. It has only recently been converted with the primary aim of retaining the original character and features yet providing modern and open plan accommodation with high standards of comfort. The first impression as you enter is one of air and light, the light comes from two windows and two skylights. The main room comprises a fully equipped kitchen area, a sofa bed (sleeps one adult or two children), a double bed, wardrobe and 2 bedside tables, coffee table and TV. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge with freezer compartment, sink and microwave with ample crockery, saucepans provided. There is a separate shower room with walk in shower, vanity unit and loo with a skylight providing natural light.
The barn is situated next to the main farmhouse but is self contained with its own private parking.
Outside in the grounds there is a picnic bench and a barbecue for your use, overlooking fields and the paddocks with our Shetland ponies. The local country pub is also closeby, just a few minutes walk. The farm and studio are a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. A wide range of beaches are with a fifteen minute drive and historic St David’s and picturesque fishing villages such as Littlehampton and Solva are 20-30 minutes away.

We were really lucky this weekend to watch the seal pups and Atlantic grey seals down at Strumble Head and Stack Rocks. If you are lucky enough on your visit to Upper Calffield to see any pups then please view them quietly from a distance. Please excuse the footage but this was filmed via an iPhone through binoculars.

The hedgerows are heavy with nuts and berries from Mother Nature, autumn is on its way. Let’s hope this weather we are currently enjoying hangs around a bit longer. 🌞
