"Thank you so much for having us at the Tiny Wee home. We came to celebrate a birthday and had the most wonderful wee stay.

We had a lovely walk up the hill with the deer, fun on the paddleboards, a quick cold dip and the bath was the perfect way to warm up after. Quiet evening games and the most amazing Northern Lights. We’ll be back."

"We had the most beautiful stay at Tiny Home Borders. We were greeted with homemade cookies, pastries, bread, butter and jam. We were completed secluded other than the fields of deer! Our favourite part was stargazing in the woodfired bath." Oct'24

"A very special place – we don’t think we’ve ever stayed in such a peaceful spot where all you can hear is nature, and there’s absolutely no one around. We loved the locan to swim in, the deck to chill on and the bath to dip in. It was brilliant to have unlimited wood.

The bed was incredibly cosy and the cottage well set out. We enjoyed the walks and the simplicity 0of being away from everything.

Murphy the dog loved it – he is a rescue and it was brilliant for him to be able to roam safely. Thanks for all your treats and the quick replies to our questions. It’s been exactly what we needed."

"We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin and facilities were exactly as described. Loved all the extra touches such as Tartan Blanket Co blankets, Bed Threads bedding and the treats in the kitchen (eggs, granola, fresh bread, milk etc). It was very private and quiet which we loved." October 2024

Big things really do come in small packages!

Our cosy hillside retreat on the southern slopes of Ruberslaw oozes Nordic style and design features. With your own private Lochan for paddle boarding or wild swimming, endless views of the rolling Border Hills from the wonderful outdoor deck with woodfired hot tub and Greta the cooker, great for star gazing too ⭐⭐

David MacTaggart won sheep farmer of the year in 2016, and has had to adjust to working with the different character of deer.

He says although they’re also herd animals, their speed, strength and suspicious nature make them more like ‘prime athletes’, and it’s better to work with them from afar. He’s found this approach keeps things really calm, an effect notable by the lack of shouting and swearing :)

This is David with ‘Number One’ - their most friendly hind, who features on this episode of the FoodScape Podcast. 🦌🦌🦌
