Branxholm Knowe House is a wonderful large detached self catering holiday property located near Hawick in the Scottish borders.

Set in two acres of gardens the house enjoys a very private position with no immediate neighbours. The house, which was built around 1850 and still retains many original period features, has been sympathetically upgraded in recent years to provide high quality holiday accommodation. Branxholm Knowe is ideally suited for entertaining and features a fabulously spacious garden room which is perfect f

or summer and winter evenings alike. The holiday home benefits from five large bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate ten adults or two families. Four bedrooms are located around a galleried landing with two quality bathrooms (one en suite with slipper bath, underfloor heating & seperate shower) serving the upstairs bedrooms. Downstairs the sitting room and garden room, which is over 40 sq metres, ensure there is plenty of space for all to enjoy. The dining room provides a great setting for more formal dining (table seats 12-14) and benefits from an open fire. There is also a twin bedroom downstairs and an additional bathroom. A new fully fitted kitchen was installed in 2009 and three new bathrooms installed in 2011. All the bathrooms are fitted to a high standard with hotel standard fittings such as Matki, Grohe and Heritage. There are two open fires and two wood burning stoves in the house as well as full gas central heating. Outside there are two tables and benches, BBQ grill house, a pond (fenced) with cascading runs, large gardens and plenty of woodland for children to explore.

What a great summer it has been to holiday in Scotland. The weather has been beautiful and all our guests at Brnzholm Knowe have been able to enjoy the house and the stunning Scottish Borders in near perfect conditions. We hope for more of the same in 2022!

Looking for a family get together this Christmas? We still have the week 21-28 December available to book. Branxholm Knowe is the ideal venue for a family Christmas. The house looks amazing decked out with festive decorations including a real Christmas tree. The conservatory is a real treat with the wood burner roaring and for the brave the hot tub outside awaits! For the less hardy the BBQ grill house with a bottle of red maybe more preferable!

It is great to back and open and we look forward to welcoming all our guests during 2021!
As predicted, 2021 is going to be a very busy year. We have one week left this year and it is the Christmas week.
Branxholm Knowe looks amazing at Christmas; the house fully decorated, a real Christmas tree, roaring fires, a sprinkling of snow (perhaps) and the outdoor hot tub for the really brave!

We are really looking forward to reopening and welcoming our first set of guests ahead of a very busy summer. We are now fully booked until the beginning of December but still do have the Christmas week and New Year week available. So if you have missed out on a family summer holiday in 2021 why not think about a good family get together over the Festive period. Branxholm Knowe is always decked out in Christmas decorations and with a real tree and is a lovely place to spend Christmas. For those brave enough the outdoor hot tub beckons with the most amazing and unpolluted night skies to gaze at! I'm getting tempted myself......!

Hawick has been named as the starting point and host town for stage seven of the Tour of Britain race starting on Sept 11 2021. This stage takes In the wonderful Scottish Borders and finishes in Edinburgh. For details see www.tourofbritain.co.uk.
