So we discovered recently we’ve won not one, but 2️⃣ AWARDS 🏆🏆, one for each property, for having Customer Reviews averaging 9.5 out of 10 at each. 👌ANDYS MAN CLUB!!! WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE that THIS CHRISTMAS🎄we’ve teamed up with ANDYS MAN CLUB to GIVEAWAY 2 x 2 Nights to 2️⃣ of their Facilitators or Members!!! Many of them volunteers who give up tons of their time to support others, and support each other, with one clear aim, MEN’S SU***DE PREVENTION!!

Here at Withens Way Holiday Cottage, Haworth and at our sister site Minster View Holiday Apartment, York we wanted to do SOMETHING SPECIAL this Christmas for a couple of people who really deserve it! We recognise the various struggles men have from time to time with their Mental Health and we’ve been inspired by the efforts of ANDYS MAN CLUB.

So we contacted them and they’ve gladly accepted our offer for two people associated directly with ANDYS MAN CLUB to WIN A BREAK on us!!! Their Area Leads are going to be picking up with their respective regions Facilitators to gather a bunch of deserving names from those who have either had a tough time recently or who go above and beyond to help others in the Club, the Winners will be drawn from the nominated names.

Bear with us a moment whilst we explain this some more with a mini blog right here:

*DYNAMIC PRICING!? It’s been making the headlines a lot recently with everything from Pubs, Hotels and Holiday Lets. Even Oasis tickets. But what is it? Dynamic pricing is essentially a way to maximise prices or more accurately charge you the customer/ guest more based on demand.

Now it’s easy to argue that adjusting prices based on supply and demand is simple business and it’s been around for years. Think Summer Holiday breaks for example. And, honesty moment, we do adjust prices based on seasons, weekends and our competition for example - BUT, we do this once or twice a year, with us the owners assessing lots of aspects that try to ensure we retain a viable business whilst you 🫵👋 the guest, get a good value for the standard of accommodation we provide, in great locations.

So - What we will never do is adjust prices at the drop of a hat based on demand. And for short breaks and staycations the use of computers and artificial intelligence to adjust prices based on real time data that measures demand and thus charge you more is now very common. Essentially meaning you get charged more because of a nearby event, a random occasion that’s driving specific demand to an area or just because 3 or 4 people happen to be looking at our website or our holiday property on a booking platform at the same time. Put simply, we’d sooner you visit, get good value, spend the money you’ve saved in another local business (or leave it in your bank) and come back again one day soon!

We could’ve re-posted many a Remembrance Poem for this weekend; Flanders Fields, The Soldier, For the Fallen. Or the powerful war poem Dulce et Decorum est.

But as we nestle, free and content on the edge of Yorkshires Moors, we thought this Yorkshire lad says it well! (And says it reight)

At the going down of the Sun, and in the morning, we will Remember them! 😔

🐾 THIS IS FUZZY, our Cockapoo. There’s a few puppy snaps of her here although she’s now 11. But Fuzzy still has bundles of energy. She likes treats, walks and socks, especially socks 🤷🏻‍♂️ she also loves Haworth and cosying up after a long day in front of the log burner of our Dog Friendly cottage. Visit soon. Humans also welcome 🙂 🐾
