In a spectacular cliff-edge position, this unique Bronze Age tomb had a long and complex history as a sacred site. ⚱️ 🌊

Did you know that before 1878, Ballowall Barrow was concealed by debris from nearby tin mines? The barrow was excavated (and radically altered) by Cornish antiquarian William Borlase. πŸ”Ž

New food incoming this weekend.

We will be welcoming Sourdoughlicious this Saturday from 17:00. Come on down to the taproom to dive into delicious wood fired pizza, paired with a smashing line-up of beers from us.

On Friday we have the ever excellent Flour Power Pizza Parlour back at the brewery. They will be here from 17:00 till late serving up perfect pizza too. As is always recommended, it's well worth pre-ordering via the vendors social media pages.

Enjoy.

The Helston Railway has launched an appeal to extend the line to Helston, which will bring tourism and trade to both the town and the Lizard Peninsula.

🍻 LOCAL PICK UP 🍻

If you're local you can buy beer online and pick it up from our brewery on Marsh Lane Industrial Estate in Hayle. If you need a pickup from the Brewhouse Cafe in St Ives please email [email protected] with your order number and we can also get this arranged.
This service is great for getting the beer ordered for Christmas.

Just add your beer to the cart on the website and add local pick up at checkout under delivery options. Usually we turn around the orders in a couple of days, dependent on how busy the taproom is or if it s the weekend, but we will let you know when it's ready for collection anyway

Swing by the brewery via reception to pick up between 10:00 - 15:00 on Monday to Thursday, or better still come in on a Friday and Saturday and enjoy a pint at the source whilst we get your beers sorted.

Paws up for Porthkidney! 🐾

Nestled between St Ives & Hayle in a quiet corner of St Ives Bay, Porthkidney, also known as Lelant Beach, boasts over a mile of beautiful Golden Sand to enjoy! 🌊

Dog friendly all year round, Porthkidney remains a quieter spot throughout the summer, and at low tide is the perfect spot for your dog to let off some steam.

Backed by glorious Sand Dunes and the St Ives Branch Line, this beach can be found at the mouth of the Hayle River, the perfect place for a paddle, but we always recommend supervision here as the currents can be strong! On the far side of the beach, a quick scramble up the rocks to the coast path will take you over to Carbis Bay, however this beach currently has the Seasonal dog ban in effect, banning dogs between 10am - 6pm; so be sure to plan your walk accordingly.

And when you've finished your walk, a 5 minute drive will take you over to us at the Natural Cornish Pet Shop, to stock up on your dogs favourite food, treats, chews and more! πŸ™Œ

Where's your favourite place for a walk? Tell us in the comments below! πŸ‘‡
