The weather forecast for this weekend has most people thinking of anything other than a short break by the seaside.
Not these guys though. They’ve just driven through the night from the Netherlands for a weekend of windsurfing! They snagged a decent surf this morning and they’re salivating at the prospect of 40mph winds tomorrow.

February is behind us and we are heading towards summer but in the meantime we can enjoy blustery springtime walks on Cornwalls longest beach.

Regular visitors to Cornwall know that our internet speeds, unlike the beach’s and countryside, don’t always meet expectations.
This winter we have made it our mission to improve on that so if you need to do some work while you’re staying with us or just relax in front of Netflix you’ll be able to with confidence .
In fact I reckon we’ve got the best internet connection in Gwithian.
But that’s still not saying much!

It’s been absolutely glorious here today - sun out, daffodils in bloom and lots of smiling faces at the beach. It’s not quite sun bathing weather but it’s perfect for long walks on the coast and enjoying Cornwall without the crowds.

Summer is just around the corner and the first signs of spring is in the air - the daffodils are poking through and the grass needs mowing again. This photo is from last April just before the mayhem began.
Spring is our favourite time at Gwithian. The county is waking up but it’s still possible to find some space on the beach to relax.

So we’ve had some new solar panels and batteries fitted in a bid to become more self sufficient with our energy use.
Needless to say it’s rained ever since. Sorry about that, we tempted fate.

So this winters revamp was all about the kitchens. Wolf Rock and St Anthony have both got brand new kitchen and dining areas for you to put through their paces.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you back from the 12th of April onwards. We don’t have any availability for July or August now but there are still some weeks available in April and May.
Roll on summer.
