News of a wedding brings excitement, you’re engaged, and you are starting to think about planning your perfect day. The tick list is pretty much the same whether you are going to be Mr & Mrs, Mr & Mr or Mrs & Mrs.
You may be surprised to know that the UK wedding market is worth over £10billion, and, the cost keeps rising. With some couples having weddings held over several days and supplier costs continually on the increase, some couples are engaged for longer than 2 years before they tie the knot!
When you start planning, you’ll be ticking off things at an alarming rate: Dresses, Suits, Themes, Colour Schemes, Guest List, Invites, Wedding Cake Designs, Flowers, Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, Venue’s, Menu’s.
Then you get to the tough stuff - seating plans – you can’t sit Aunt Rose next to Cousin Adele and you can’t sit those friends from college next to your other friends from work, have you arranged enough table centres? You sure?
The list is long, that’s for sure. But there is one thing on you’re to do list for after the big day that is just for the two of you. You’re honeymoon. Honeymoons
Let me start with a huge Congratulationson your engagement.
Whatever stage of wedding planning you are currently at, at some point you will be thinking about what happens after the big day. And your honeymoon is your time to really reconnect after all the planning and saying ‘I do’ in front of your nearest and dearest. Traditionally the bride and groom whisked themselves off at about 9/10pm to a hotel elsewhere and then went off on honeymoon immediately after the wedding, but things have changed a lot since then, and the traditional Honeymoon now looks very different.
I’ve been in the industry nearly 25 years and over that time I’ve seen the changes to people’s honeymoon requirements. These days you have a whole host of options open to you in terms of who comes with you on honeymoon, to where you go and what you do. For instance;

Destination Weddings
Congratulations on your engagement and deciding to take the plunge for a Destination Wedding. Arranging a wedding that will take place 1000’s of miles from where you are in your day to day can be daunting. And that’s why you want someone who can be on hand for you from the very start all the way to when you have returned from saying ‘I do’.
It’s not easy to know what you can and can’t do, or where to start and that is where I come in. I offer a full 360° planning service to take you through every step, and because I work with the actual wedding coordinators in resort rather than offering you an ‘off the shelf’ wedding package you get everything you need, when you need it.
Want to speak to the wedding coordinator yourself, that’s fine too! I am available to be on hand 100% or take a step back for the parts you want to have more control in, there are no hard and fast rules here – it’s YOUR big day!

Unlike general high street travel agents and the internet, I don’t sell off the shelf holidays. I take the time to get to know you and what you need before we even start any in depth planning.
As well as having 25 years’ experience in the travel industry, I also have 4 children and a busy life. I have also been where you are stood and planned a wedding from scratch, so I completely understand the work it takes to plan your special day, and how much you are going to value an expert on hand to help you.
I have travelled extensively and been lucky enough to experience lots of amazing countries. I am accustomed to staying in Luxury and Boutique accommodations, as well as general family holidays. And, being a family of 6 I know the pain of arranging a larger than average size family for a trip overseas, or in the UK.
Other genres of holiday I have experienced are Cruise, Ski, Sailing, Coach touring and luxury rail through Europe and far flung destinations. Before having my daughters, I also had the amazing experience of living and working in Thailand and Malaysia.
In addition to all the mainstream areas of travel from annual holidays to city and UK Breaks, Cruises to round the world tailor made trips I also have extensive experience in handling;

♥ Hen and Stag Parties (All my hen and stag parties receive full planning service as well as group management covering pre-booking, booking stage, budgeting and payments – which means your Maid of Honour or Best Man has 1 less job to do. They also all get a pre-departure ‘Passports & Prosecco’ or ‘Passports & Pints’ mixer – this ensures anyone who doesn’t know each other before the event will when the trip arrives. There is also a documentation hand out and a special gift from me to the group.)
