I’ll be raising a glass to my lovely dearly missed dad tonight who died, officially, 3 years ago but his decline into dementia started way before. 💙
It was basically a s**t way to end a life which had accomplished so much.
As a daughter I focus on him at his best & think about how he’d want me to live my life.
I like to think he knows I’m happy & so proud of him. 💙

In my line of work I come across a lot of photos. Some really standout so, as I love stories, I’ll want to know more…
These photos were taken by & are of my client’s older brother. He was a fighter pilot in WWII and an avid rock climber.
In his 30s he was killed when he was struck by lightening when he was taking photos on Saddleworth Moor.

It’s good to see donated items doing good. I vary the charity shops I make donations to in order to spread the love & am happy to take things to a charity of a client’s choice 🛍

Another accessory for life which has become unnecessarily complicated (in my opinion) are recipe books.

The marketing makes you feel you could do better and haven’t quite nailed it, so you need to buy the new season’s recipe books.

In the not do so distant past (but when I think about it the 1980s were 40 years ago 😳) classic recipe books kept things satisfyingly simple. This Cranks classic crams lots of recipes in & doesn’t feel the need to convolute things. Anything which brings less faff into my life is a welcome relief. Here’s to keeping it simple 🤍

I love this time of year when we’re reminded of the possibilities just round the corner.
On a recent dank grey walk my daughter recognised this spot we’d visited in spring when the bluebells had bloomed.
Looking forward to all this again which is on its way….💙
