Vision For Helensburgh – Community Event
Saturday 22 March 2025 10am - 4pm
The Bridge Halls at Helensburgh Parish Church.
A community-centred event to help shape Helensburgh’s future plans.

Have your say on the town’s future development. Helensburgh area residents of all ages are invited to an exhibition about the town’s future plans. The aim of the event is to encourage everyone to see, engage, and discuss how they wish the town to be in the future.

There will be a chance to speak to other community groups representing, health and wellbeing, the environment, business, tourism, and community. You can view and discuss the plans they have for the future. These include Helensburgh Community Hub Helensburgh Pier Kirkmichael Community development group Helensburgh Community Woodlands Group Helensburgh Skatepark Project Helensburgh & District Access Trust - Business Gateway - Argyll and Bute Grey Matters - Active Ageing Save The Tower Arts Centre Jean's Bothy, Helensburgh Argyll Community Housing Association - ACHA Group UHI Argyll Destination Helensburgh and Aspiring Places Argyll and Bute Council.

There will also be a display based on the feedback from public surveys undertaken in 2024, drops ins, pop ups, focus groups and our previous Vision for Helensburgh events.

We now need you the community to come and vote. The ideas you select will be the ones that Helensburgh Community Council will prioritise in the Local Place Plan to be submitted to Argyll and Bute Council. They will also listen to new ideas and re-evaluate old ones before submitting the plan.

The exhibition is free, it will take between 30-60 minutes of your time. Everyone is welcome from 0-99+ years old. This is your town – have your say!

Have you heard about the new Winter Sunrise experience at RSPB Loch Lomond 🌅

Our new event 'Winter Sunrise Experience' is coming up on March 1st and we currently have some spaces available! 🌄

The event will take place at the Skein dial which is a short distance from our car park and easily accessible. We will be set up with a fire pit and some refreshments as well as places to sit. There will be chances to take an early morning walk in the woods and we'll go into a bit about the wildlife, folklore and geography of the area. Early mornings are the best time to see some of the most exciting wildlife we have here on the reserve so don't miss out!

You can book via this link. https://events.rspb.org.uk/events/98923
