On tonight at the Victoria Halls 7:30pm, Kirsty Fisher on sailing round the world, part of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society Inspiring People series

NEXT WEEK Join young geographer Kirsty Fisher as she shares stories from the journey of a lifetime to circumnavigate the world by sailboat! ⛵️

From her adventures around some of the most remote areas of the globe, she shares her observations of the interconnectedness of humans in a vast world, the changing tide for women in sailing, and the importance of enjoying the journey along the way.

She'll be speaking at:

Ceilidh this Friday with Helensburgh & District Highland Association!

The Willie Scott duo will be playing for our Burns Night ceilidh dance on Friday 31st January from 8p.m.-11.30pm in the Osprey Suite of the Commodore Hotel, Helensburgh. Drinks can be purchased from the bar. Tea/coffee and a biscuit will be available at the interval when the raffle will be drawn. Tickets priced at £10 for members and £12 for non-members (half price for accompanied under 16s) can be purchased on the night. Tables of 6 or more can be reserved from Association Secretary Anne Thorn (07490 274 871 or [email protected])

Transport Scotland is holding public exhibitions this month about works at the A83 Rest and Be Thankful. Staff and technical advisers AtkinsRealis WSP Joint Venture will be available to answer questions on the proposals for both the Medium and Long-Term solutions for the road.
