As 2024 draws to a close.... what better time to reflect on a few highlights from this year.
There are so many to choose from and it has been great taking a trip down memory lane at all of our adventures.

Timings: Leave Ross 9:00am., Hereford 9:30am., Leominster 10:00am Depart and back to Leominster 5:00pm, Hereford 5:30pm and Ross 6:00pm.
Costs: Including travel and entry £29.00 per person.

Tuesday 23rd July – Dragonfly Canal Cruise and Brecon
On behalf of Tupsley Townswomen’s Guild
We will arrive at Brecon at approximately 11:00am and our cruise is from 12:00 until 2:30pm, so please feel free to bring a packed lunch. There will be drinks and lights snacks (cakes) available to purchase during the cruise. There is free time to explore Brecon a little more after the cruise before heading home.
Timings: Leave Hereford Whitehouse Hub 9:30am., Hereford Merton Meadow Car Park 9:45am Depart and back to Hereford Merton Meadow 6:00pm and Hereford Whitehouse Hub 6:15pm.
Costs: Including travel and cruise £40.00 per person.

Wednesday 24th July - Churches Tour around the Cotswolds with Tim Bridges
Timings: Leave Leominster 8:00am., Hereford at 8:30am., Ross on Wye 9:00am. We will depart and travel back to Ross at 5:30pm, Hereford at 6:00pm, and then Leominster at 6:30pm.
Costs: Including tea/coffee, donations and travel costs £45.00 per person

Saturday 3rd August - A Day in Tenby
Timings: Leave Ross 8:00am., Hereford 8:30am., Leominster 9:00am. Depart and back to Ross 8:00pm, Hereford 8:30pm Leominster 9:00pm.
Costs: Including travel £37.00 per person.

Wednesday 7th August – West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley with Safari Ranger coach tour
Timings: Leave Ross 9:00am., Hereford 9:30am., Leo 10:00am Depart and back to Leominster 6:00pm, Hereford 6:30pm and Ross 7:00pm.
Costs: Including travel, entry and safari ranger £49.00 per person.

Tuesday 20th August – Tour of the Usk Valley with Rob from Exploring Mid Wales
Timings: Leave Leominster 8:30am., Hereford 9:00am., Ross 9:30am Depart and back to Ross 4:45pm, Hereford 5:15pm and Leominster 5:45pm.
Costs: Including travel and guide £42.00 per person or £62.00 including lunch.

Yesterday we returned from our very lovely holiday in Switzerland.
Wow, what a place! Stunning views around every corner with friendly people and staff at the Central Sport hotel in Davos.
We visited Davos, Chur, Klosters, St Moritz and took the Bernina Express down to Tirano in Italy.
On the way home we made an impromptu visit to Colmar in France - A beautiful city, we must return!

Thank you so much to our unflappable Keith for driving us all around, to Percy the coach for a comfortable journey, and to amazing customers who have made new friendships with lots of tales to tell.

I think this could be the first of many overseas Rural Concierge holidays by coach.

Yesterday turned out nice again as we enjoyed a wonderful day out at WWT Slimbridge, with the added bonus tour of Sir Peter Scott's home.

A big THANK YOU to the wonderful volunteers Peter and Steve who provided a very informative tour (3 x tour, due to our group size).

Many requested another visit in the winter, so we will add it to our next newsletter.

The Herefordshire Federation of Women's Institutes enjoyed their National Conference at the Royal Albert Hall in London yesterday.

We spent 2 days in London this week, visiting Portobello Market, Holland Park Gardens, and the Design Museum with the conference on the 2nd day.

With the recent announcement of a new Christmas episode of Gavin and Stacey, what better time to visit the filming locations at Barry Island as well as enjoy a bit of candy floss, fish and chips, ice cream and amusement arcades!

That aside, the beach is lovely and their RNLI is a visitor centre as well as a shop, is well worth a visit.

Thank you Llysdinam Gardens! We have had a wonderful day today.
Snowdrops and Cake were a delight and we NEARLY took Pumpkin the cat home too.

We still have tickets available on Wednesday 6th March for this interesting new play exploring the working relationship of composers Benjamin Britten and Imogen Holst.

Pick-ups for the matinee performance are from Leominster, Hereford and Ross on Wye.
Being dropped off close to the Theatre in Stratford, we will have time for lunch before the performance.

We still have places available on Friday 16th February for Llandrindod Wells & Snowdrops at Llysdinam Gardens, nr Newbridge on Wye.

We head to Llandrindod Wells, to explore and stop for lunch, after which we will visit the historic Llysdinam Gardens for a guided tour, taking in the snowdrops and the history of the estate.

Evolving from the 1850’s with a walled kitchen garden and beautifully planted grounds surrounding Llysdinam Hall, it has been in continuous use by the same family for 150 years The gardens are now run by the Llysdinam Trust who are working to maintain its historical importance whilst developing it further as a garden.

We have arranged tea/coffee and cake before heading home.

With pick ups from Ross on Wye, Hereford Leominster and Kington.
