If you asked me, do I like the Scandi Cabin? I would say, of course… who wouldn't! 😍
But, if you asked me on a deeper level, I would say… 💭
The Scandi Cabin took us 6 extremely busy months and thousands of hours to build from the ground up. I designed every aspect of the Scandi myself and had a team of over 30 involved with the build. Overcoming the terrain building a structure on a site that is 3 meters out of level and carrying countless tonnes of materials down the hill to the cabin are the bits I’d like to forget.
But it was worth every penny and hours of hard graft, because I think we’ve built the ultimate off-grid countryside escape.
A haven for those seeking serenity and indulgence, and anyone who has the opportunity to stay - should jump at the chance!

Where are we? 📍
Our location is so important to us, built on our family farm where we have farmed across four generations!
Surrounded by local banks, trees and streams, the land is a registered Local Wildlife Reserve, full of wildlife including birds such as owls, woodpeckers and a visiting heron. On the farm we keep sheep and lambs - we also have four beehives! 🐝
We may be biased but The Fold is in a great location - you certainly won’t be short of things to do! We’re just a stone's throw away from Offas D**e, 25 minutes from Hay-on-Wye and only 15 minutes from The Black Mountains. Stay with us and explore the best of what Herefordshire has to offer 🌲
It was a dream to see us on last night, but I just wanted to take a moment to praise all of the fantastic team we had working on the cabin. The show wants to make a story about me creating something beautiful and I love that but it really was a team effort and without such fantastic craftspeople working out practical ways to create what I had dreamt up the Scandi Cabin really wouldn’t be this wanderous creation I’m so very proud of.
There were late nights, last minute changes of plans, suppliers having to come up with timer and steel to keep us going when I’d had another great idea, and so many steps walked up and down the banks bringing all of materials to the cabin.
Thank you to everybody involved, I owe you a beer! 🍻

Summers at the A-Frame are an absolute delight. We have a two night weekend available for the 7th of July if you want to have a recharge but can’t manage the usual 3 night.

Welcome to our Geodome. For some reason it hasn’t been getting much love lately and I don’t know why.
It might be that it’s a little overshadowed by the grandeur of our other cabins, but the GeoDome is a mighty beast.
Now that we have left the cold nights behind us there is no downside to it. With the stargazing skylight, hot tub, bbq, pizza oven and possibly the best views of all our cabins the Geodome is the place to be during the summer.
It’s already our cheapest cabin but to try and encourage bookings we have reduced the prices by another 15% until the booking sheet is looking a little healthier.

It was a misty morning sunrise over the cabins this morning. You can see the dragons breath lingering in the bottom of the Golden Valley.
It was an early morning to catch it but definitely worth the effort.
The sun is finally here, and it’s set to be another beautiful day!
