🏡Some exciting news at Number 61!
We are booked out until end of September 🙌
🎥 The BBC will be filming a new series of 'The Dumping Ground' in Hexham, at the old Hexham Middle School site. They contacted us as they needed to home cast and crew for the entirety of the production .
So, we have one of the members of the production team staying 🥳

Hi all 😃
It's been a little while since we posted on here, but it has been a busy year with the Airbnb bookings.

We are delighted to welcome a guest over the Christmas period who is an actress performing in 'The Wind in The Willows' at the Queens Hall in Hexham.
We tried to make Number 61 as festive as possible, and were glad to receive a lovely message on her 1st nights stay, to say she had settled in already.

We are now taking bookings for 2023! Booking directly is cheaper than through the Airbnb site 😉😉

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⛅ We took advantage of the bank holiday sunshine today and went North of the border!! Only 45 minutes drive from Haydon bridge is Gretna Green 💖🤵👰

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💖 Gretna Green is a village on the Scottish border that is world famous as a romantic wedding destination.
💞 First, over the border, it became a haven for young lovers following the 1754 Marriage Act introduced in England and Wales. You were forbidden to marry without your parents' permission if you were under 21.
💞So the young and in love began eloping to Scotland, where it was much easier to marry.

🍺 Look at the stunning views from the beer garden at General Havelock Inn, Haydon Bridge!! 😲

🍺 This pub/restaurant is just 2 mins walk from Number 61

🥮 They serve the most amazing food, including the very popular 'Woody's Pie Night'. The pies are the best I have ever tasted........ Or, if you just fancy a snack the cheese croquettes are to die for 😋😋

🥰 Gary and Joanna are the proprietors, and you will get a lovely warm Northumbrian welcome 💕

🐎 I went to see my lovely friend Carolyn the other day at West Rattenraw, a 10 minute walk from the village centre. And look at these beautiful views of the valley!! 😍
The horses kindly stood still for me 🐎💕
