Re post from Northumberland National Park

Our native red squirrels are still found in woods in the Park. They build leafy dreys (nests) in the fork of a tree to shelter and have their young. They live in broad-leaved and conifer woods; look out for nibbled pine cones and cracked open hazel nuts to see where they have been and you may be lucky enough to spy one.
