Tree Top Lodge is located high up within a forest setting but the trees do not hamper the wonderful scenery on offer, especially from the fantastic balcony where you can enjoy the outdoors with partial cover should the rain decide to make an appearance. The lodge is designed in an upside-down style with the bedrooms, a kingsize with en-suite and a triple room on the ground floor along with the spacious and airy kitchen/diner and bathroom. Upstairs you will find the incredibly spacious living room with large Smart TV and games console and a sofa bed for additional sleeping for one. From the living room, you can walk straight out onto the balcony and enjoy a relaxed drink or alfresco meal while you enjoy the views. Outside there is a shared pool where you can cool off or relax by the poolside. The property is located near the county’s two National Parks, Exmoor, 17 miles to the north and Dartmoor, 20 miles to the south. The location is 11 miles from the regional capital town of Barnstaple with its many cafés and restaurants, Queens Theatre, multi-screen cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, a purpose-built tennis centre with indoor and outdoor courts and an indoor trampoline centre. While just 30 miles to the south is the historic city of Exeter. North Devon is famed for its fantastic natural attractions such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Lynton and Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village, all with awe-inspiring scenery. If stunning beaches are your thing then the region will leave you spoilt for choice with Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho! beaches all within easy reach by car. The fantastic South West Coastal Path runs through the region’s rugged coastline and is perfect for walkers and view seekers offering 90 miles of stunning walks. And the popular Tarka Trail provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line on foot or by bicycle allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and river scenery which will take you through places like Fremington and Yelland Quays and Yarde with their excellent cafés, Instow with its estuary beach and view towards the lovely fishing village of Appledore through to Bideford, Barnstaple and beyond.
