Just finishing the chores for opening next week! New curtains are up in Old Mill. Carpets and rugs all cleaned and new soffit and fascia on so the birds will have to find somewhere else to build their nest 😊

Getting ready for the Pygmy goats to arrive ❤️Track to the paddock is complete! Water pipe laid. Tomorrow the paddock fence is being started! Next is the building of the shelter 🙂

The first home grown strawberries by Ann Archer for our first strawberry jam being made for this season! Sold out of the very berry jam already and almost out of this years marmalade! Thank goodness the chickens are now producing eggs once again so we have something for ‘Our little shed shop’ a roaring success 😁❤️ well done Mary Ann Archer for the idea 😁

It’s been a long week trying to complete the work in Old Mill for our first guests of the season next week! The new stair and bedroom carpet was laid today! Brilliant job by Mark and Jack from Cornerstores Carpets in the village. The bookings are rolling in and our website appears to be doing its job! Today Derrick went to the vet for an unexplained reason but thankfully he’s back to his normal self this evening ❤️

The lovely fence is nearly complete! If only the hinge pack for the gate had arrived with the order Mary Ann could finish it!

I turn my back for one minute and Mary Ann has started the next project! 😁 Taking out the insufficient hedge and trellis fence in the cottage gardens to replace it with a new composite fence and gate to keep the lovely visitors dogs separate. I’m sure all the dog owners will appreciate our efforts to keep everyone safe! 😊 will post updates as they occur

My first post! 🥳
I have just finished making a white chocolate birthday cake for one of our lovely regular guests arriving tomorrow.
I just hope he’s not diabetic! Oh and a small one for us for the weekend ( just to make sure it’s edible) and anyone who drops by for a coffee! 😁
