One of our holiday guests was rather taken with our fake owl on the gate post. He was so funny sitting really still, I don't think he knew quite what to do.
He's been a joy to have here and made himself right at home.

It's lovely being able to walk from our dog friendly holiday cottages, into our woods, across to Bramble woods and Dunsland National Trust. This photo was taken in our woods this morning, there are wildflowers everywhere. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful location.

Not long now, we are looking forward to having guest staying again. This is Meg this morning in Dunsland National trust next door. It was a lovely day for a walk and of course a quick dip in the stream. The sun was out along with lots of snowdrops.

It's very quiet here, just the sound of the birds singing and the dogs panting after a game of fetch in the gardens at Pillows and Paws Cottages. Looking forward to having guests back in July. The weather has been wonderful and all the roses are now in full bloom.

I had a lovely afternoon with Fudge and Meg, we walked from home to Dunsland and back through Bramble woods. I am having to keep them on the lead because they are both in season, I can't wait to be able to let them off again for a good run. I have been running with them but I'm no way near fast enough for them.

We are still managing to have lots of fun with our children and animals during the lock down, I think Phil and myself are the big kids. It's a very stressful time but it is made easier living here. We're so lucky to live in such a beautiful location with our own woods to play in. Looking forward to sharing it all again soon. This is the new swing we put up today, we plan to put up a few more next week.
