*** WELCOME HOME ***
We have just heard the familiar sound, of the first small group of Pink-footed geese overhead, a welcome sound, after an absence since early Spring. The cackling flock quickly transports me back to my childhood, where we would run out to see the huge flocks make their final descent onto the marshes of Snettisham Beach. Best seen in big numbers from November to February, I for one can't wait to stand on the terraces of Ingol and Avocet lodge and watch them swam ahead .

We are very lucky to be located in the charming little village of Ingoldisthorpe. Seated within a picturesque vale, scattered with an array of trees and connected by the River Ingol, which has aptly given its name to one of our Lodges. Above the village there is more to discover, with glimpses of extensive Wash and country views, sweeping fields a beautiful 14th century flint church, walks a plenty and the distant sound of children playing in the quaint village school.

As avid sleep lovers, how could we not include 6ft beds to bury yourself in. Comfy mattresses, a choice of soft and hard pillows and white Egyptian cotton sheets, we dare you not to have that cheeky lay in.
