Just popped a wedge of ‘just out of the oven’ chocolate brownie in Maurice to greet the guests that arrive this afternoon.

What a great place to stay for a few days, making the most of the last week of August.

Spring has well and truly sprung here in Holt - the wildflowers are in full bloom, and Mackerel is waiting with open arms (do cats have arms?) to welcome guests!

We've been rather quiet on here lately - however that is not for lack of activity - we have been very busy preparing for the arrival of our new-for-2022, double width, all singing, all dancing shepherds hut, Chez Maurice!

Maurice has all of the creature comforts you know and love from Marguerite, and just a few rather notable upgrades:

1. Maurice is TWICE the size of Marguerite - still cozy and intimate, but with a bit more room for Tai Chi (or naps, we won't judge!)

2. Maurice has both a hugeeee copper soaking bath with a view, as well as an enormous whirlpool bath for your exclusive use!

3. Maurice's spacious bed has an expansive skylight above it, perfect for stargazing in those clear Norfolk skies!

4. Maurice comes with the official seal of approval from Boots, our feline head of accommodation.

As Maurice is a new addition to our repertoire, we still have plenty of availability for the year ahead. Gorgeous walk last night directly from Marguerite, the shepherd’s hut. Check out the limited availability in July and August or plan ahead and have a longer break to look forward to in the autumn when you can take advantage of the very efficient log burner!

Wow! Just look at the blue skies of last year! Whilst we are no longer welcoming guests into our home, Marguerite our gorgeously appointed shepherd’s hut is available to book online. You will be assured of a warm welcome not only by us but by your very own tabby cat- Mackerel.

A parcel containing luxury Egyptian bedding for Marguerite has just arrived! New bedding has to rank as one of life’s greatest small pleasures!
