For those looking to test their knowledge about puffins before they leave, we are still running our Puffin Self Guided Trail until the end of the month. Each booklet contains the quiz questions, nature challenges and puzzles to complete. Pick up your pack at the Visitor Centre and remember to return back there for your prize!

So for some time I've been meaning to create some posts listing some of the vast array of things you can do whilst holidaying on Anglesey. I thought an obvious one was to give a shout out to a small handful of Castles which are in easy travelling distance of us. I don't know about you but I love to look around them, so too do my kids & the olds... so that's a win!

Anglesey Copper Mountain near Amlwch is a great place to visit & was once the largest copper mine in the world. Also known as Parys Mountain this old copper mine ‘Copper Kingdom’ transports you to a mars like landscape with hues of copper and ochre contrasting with zesty gorse in flower and later in the year purple with heather! With lots of off road parking and various circular walks it’s well worth a visit

Anyone else love searching for shells ?! Then head to Cable Bay, 10 mins drive from the cottage. Our family favourite is hunting for cowrie shells, can you find them in these photos. And for the disinterested ☺️ the beach is lovely and sheltered so perfect to sit and take in the view or go for a beautiful headland walk. There’s usually a coffee van in the car park too 🫶🏻xx
