It was a great day for a bike ride on Saturday, managed to pootle around Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn, Valley, Holyhead inc the full Breakwater for the first time and back past Porth Dafarch!

Lovely Saturday for us.

Our first visit to The Sandymount House for lunch (I can vouch for the Fish Finger ciabatta, whilst my daughter enjoyed the children’s Burger), and walked it off watching the kite surfers 🪁 🏄🏼‍♂️ at Rhosneigr. Definitely braver than me!

Then we called by the fresh milk vending machine for a salted caramel milkshake - now words cannot do this justice 🤤! If you’re partial to a milk shake get yourself there.

Feeling rather contented after an hour at Llangefni food festival!

Rather partial to the Halloumi Fries personally, but the Welsh Sausage, Caribbean Goat Curry & Crepes were also rated highly! 🤤

Need to walk it off now!

We were able to dodge the showers on Good Friday and complete a walk we’ve been planning for sometime - Mynydd Twr (Holyhead Mountain) Circular Walk. Whilst the terrain was a little trickier than expected in places we were rewarded with breathtaking views!
Was hoping to finish with a sunset at South Stack but a pesky cloud got in the way.

Lovely way to spend a Saturday pm. Our first time up the 115 steps of the Marquess of Anglesey’s Column, then a little explore around Church Island finished with a well deserved drink at The Victoria in Menai Bridge!

Due to a quirk of fate on Wednesday this week, we managed to watch the sunrise 🌅 in Benllech and the sunset 🌅 in Trearddur Bay! Albeit slightly cloudy. Pre sunset we also enjoyed a takeaway pizza 🍕 from the The Stores for the first time, who also to our surprise do a gluten free base. 😋 Can definitely recommend. Owned and maintained by two families who have holidayed on Anglesey since being children themselves, and who are now keen to share the beauty and tranquility of the Island with others.
