Loving the idea of street food, cuddling a star fish and foot golf! Feel a short drive over to Lyme coming on!😂
If you're planning a visit to Lyme this weekend, here's a few ideas for you. On Friday evening from 4pm the first Lyme Eats Boutique takes place on Gun Cliff below the Marine Theatre with a great choice of street food to tempt your taste buds, all washed down with local beverages served by the Salty Arms.
Head to the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium to hold a starfish, have your fingers kissed by their shoal of tame mullet and get up close with lobsters, crabs and other wonderful marine life from the Jurassic Coast.
Just a few minutes walk from the seafront is The Town Mill where a volunteer miller will take you on a free guided tour through the three floors of the stone-built watermill while demonstrating the art of flour making. After visiting the Mill, check out the Drawn to the Water exhibition at the Malthouse Gallery which is set to make waves in Lyme Regis as five accomplished artists come together to present their collective vision of the Jurassic Coastline.
There's something to delight and inspire everyone at Lyme Regis Museum with displays covering Lyme’s lively local history, spectacular fossil collections, famous writers and of course Lyme’s most famous fossil hunter, Mary Anning.
Jurassic Footgolf is a great fun activity for the whole family and is located on the outskirts of Lyme Regis at Strawberry Field. The 9 hole course combines the best of football and golf, with the objective to get the ball into the hole using only your feet and in the fewest number of shots possible.
Take a stroll down Broad Street and along Coombe Street and visit some of Lyme's independent shops.
