Lovely 5 mile sunny walk from Hathersage π.
Started at the Plough pub, followed the river and crossed at the stepping stones. Quick picnic and a paddle. Then crossed the road and up to Thorpe Farm. Said hello to the calves and sampled some delicious Hope Valley ice creams. Through the back of the farm and turned right along Birley Lane, then down the foot path through the lovely fields and crossed over the river. Crossed the cricket field and past Little John's grave, then headed to the Hathersage open air pool cafe for refreshments and a well earned rest. Then back down to the van. Kids and the hound worn out π€ͺπ§‘ππ.
I promise you daphne, the map definitely said to take a left turning and we'd join the footpath...
