Never a dull moment on the farm !!!!
About 11pm our pregnant sow went into labour, Dave found her when he went to feed up.
She had delivered 4 healthy piglets and 4 stillborn and was struggling .
I called the vet Daniel he came from Haven vets and gave her a injection to get her milk flowing plus painkillers and antibiotics.
She was still pushing and eventually another piglet was delivered.
Anyway after putting them onto her teats we built a shelter around her with hay bales and the vet left and we climbed into bed at 2pm .
Today they seemed ok but we checked again at 4pm and mum had rejected them so in true Clapham Holme Farm tradition they are now in our living room in the famous blue vat .
Also in the house we have 2 kittens we have just got !!
Being fed every 3 hours out of miniature wine bottles with teats on !!!!
Michelle and I of course are drinking the wine !!! Jaz is looking over them fascinated x

Well Shelby and Trish have arrived on the farm !!!
These lovely cute little girls travelled well on our long journey back from Norfolk in fact when we got back and opened up the trailer they were both fast asleep on the straw bedding !!!
A big thanks to Stacey Lear and Philip at Everlong Farm for there hospitality as we stayed over in there bed and breakfast farmhouse, a beautiful tastefully decorated bedroom with en suite. We highly recommend staying there. We loved looking around the farm at the Kune Kune pigs and Jacob sheep and we met the famous Titch, a Kune Kune pig who thinks she's a dog !!
Stacey does a blog on Everlong Farm where she talks about the day to day life of running a small holding .
The girls are settling in well as you can see by the photos!!!

If you would like a family get together our Atrium Barn has 4 cottages sleeps 18 guests.
We are dog friendly in 5 cottages we have a dog walk.
(except the Hayloft Barn no dogs allowed)
