During Day 3, having safely negotiated the Drake Passage which appears to have been Drake Lake and not Drake Shake… Andy and guests onboard are now experiencing icebergs, whales and their first penguin sighting…

Expect us to cover a lot more regarding the Antarctica and other Expedition Cruising possibilities in 2025 as this area of cruising continues to grow!

Oh and while Antarctica is an incredible destination, a life changing experience… did you know that expedition cruising doesn’t necessarily mean cold weather… 🤔☀️

Black Friday is definitely underway with every cruise line now having released their Black Friday offering!

Don’t forget, just because it says Black Friday, just because someone is telling you it’s Black Friday doesn’t mean it is actually on offer and doesn’t mean you should be pressured to book!!! (We have had a number of guests walk in to us panicked because they have been told to book now by someone!!!)

BUT … there is some wonderful offers and some great promotions well worth considering… we can share our open & informative opinion as always! Just step onboard ! We’re not your average agency!

💙 P&O Cruises:

P&O Cruises have released some savings on up to 60 sailings with £50/£100/£150pp off which is absolutely better off in your pocket!

We saw a couple of Norwegian Fjord sailings on Select Fare down to under £800pp on Iona and that’s hard to beat!

💜 Ambassador Cruises:

For the season that’s in it Ambassador are offering FREE Drinks on 18 different sailings including 2 from Liverpool! Of course, it’s not Black Friday with Ambassador, it’s Purple Friday which we like! Good work Ambassador!

Following our post in our private offers group The Cruise Room UK - Future Cruise yesterday, Black Friday is well underway. For us it's been a little flat in the last year or two, but this year feels different with a number of notable promotions leading to huge savings!

This is particularly the case with Silversea who are offering a Black Friday promotion for the very first time as we were told at a business meeting earlier this week! Not content to just offer a couple of voyages here and there with a Black Friday label on it... Silversea are offering savings on over 550 voyages!

The savings? Considerable with up to £2400pp off on the Door To Door and Port to Port All Inclusive Fares...!! This is similar to the recent flash sale Silversea had which had a huge number of you booking...

Australia & New Zealand on the brand new Silver Nova is also showing £2400pp saving as is Silver Shadow in French Polynesia & Tahiti....

We may yet do an official ‘naming ceremony’ in January but we are incredibly proud to reveal our cruise lounge in Belfast which was shared on our The Cruise Room Ireland site last night!

Fresh from winning Best Independent Cruise Agency in the U.K. & Ireland at The Wave Awards last week we can share that the lounge is based in Titanic House AND you can now step onboard our bespoke space to talk all things cruise on an appointment only basis!

What a whirlwind 36 hours it’s been as we whisked our crew off to Belfast simply to say ‘Thank You’ for all they do!

It was also a way to celebrate our award success last Monday as we picked up Best Independent Cruise Agency at The Wave Awards

That’s not all… it was a chance to show the crew our brand new appointment only Belfast office in Titanic House for the very first time!

We crammed in visits to the Christmas Markets at City Hall, a lovely Sunday Roast at The Northern Whig Bar - Cathedral Quarter Belfast, a big of a jig at The Dirty Onion Bar, a visit to the brilliant Titanic Belfast & Nomadic before a delicious afternoon Tea back at base - the wonderful Titanic Hotel Belfast!

A huge thank you to the crew at Titanic Hotel for taking such good care for us and a shout out to the Northern Whig too for a lovely meal - especially the extra Yorkshires & Gravy!!! 😛🤣

Finally a huge thank you to our guests for indulging us having the store closed today. You’ll know it’s not something we do, it’s not a decision we took lightly but we hugely appreciate your patience and understanding.

Be assured that we’re back onboard on Tuesday at 10am with Charmione and Angela at our Wirral store being supported by Jonathan & Robbie here in our Belfast office ready to take care of you all as we work through some of the fantastic opportunities Black Friday is giving you! (Theres some real value out there once you cut through the marketing!!)

It’s become something of a tradition, just for fun, but if we win an award the rule is we have to take it on tour…

Now we had just a couple of hours before heading back so it was a mini tour … but our Best Independent Cruise Agency in the U.K. & Ireland award will come with us to Belfast this weekend as we take all the crew with us to celebrate our news!

Now, Woody from Toy Story tipped his hat in approval at the news and Donald was very excited to see his first Wave Award!!!

Robbie was telling everyone in Speakers Corner in Hyde Park all about it (no one seemed bothered 🤣 ) and of course we took the award on the Tube…

This was all after we had walked back to the hotel on Monday night, checking in at Harry Potter after leaving the Dorchester (we would have loved to stay at the Dorchester of course but our very comfy and usual Premier Inn was calling!! Thanks team Premier Inn! 🥰)

All a bit of fun and hopefully they raise a smile! After all we’re not your average agency!!!

What a night at The Dorchester at The Wave Awards… ‘The Oscars of Cruising’.

The Cruise Room has won the U.K. & Ireland’s BEST INDEPENDENT / SOLO CRUISE AGENT!

This is astonishing for us and we’re so so grateful to our crew for all their incredible hard work, the cruise lines for their amazing supports the judging panel for choosing us and you… our wonderful guests… who trust us day after day with your dream cruise holidays! We are so so thankful to each and every one of you!

This is our fourth U.K. & Ireland award in just 3 and a half years since opening in the pandemic but for the business this is the biggest yet.

Oh and we got to meet the wonderful Sue Perkins who was just brilliant!

With our Belfast office opening for appointments on the 19th November it’s quite a time for us…

Not sure how we come down from this but Jonathan and Robbie will make their way back from London today while Charmione, Jacquie and Angela are in store today manning the ship to look after you all!

With all the excitement of the new MSC Cruises Blue Diamond Loyalty Status a couple of small changes to the Voyager Club may have gone unnoticed but they are really important!

If you're a member of Voyagers Club then you automatically receive 5% off most sailings which is great! This remains!

Now, if you booked more than 6 months out previously then you would receive another 5% off... this has NOW CHANGED and to get the extra 5% you now need to book 9 months of more in advance.
Previously if you booked more than 9 months out and you were Silver & above then you would receive €50 / $50 onboard credit... this has NOW CHANGED and you need to book 12 months or more out to receive this!

Double Points? These are still applicable for bookings more than 12 months out, just like before!

So what are we saying? In short, we're now in a period where booking early is bringing advantages again (and post Covid this has not necessarily been the case)! Here you're going to get more perks, as well as securing the staterooms in the best positions...
Have a think and start trying to plan further ahead... with low deposits (MSC is just £100pp for cruise only fare) you're now more likely than ever to win...

We've often said we think that the MSC Cruises loyalty programme, MSC Voyagers Club, is the best at sea! There's a generous 5% discount just for being a member, the ability to get €50 onboard credit at Silver level if you book far enough in advance as well as other perks and onboard touches! Oh and we love that you can 'Status Match' so if you're a regular cruiser or have loyalty to a hotel brand then MSC will match that status for you!

Now MSC have added an all new loyalty level - Blue Diamond - which sits at the very top and is for those that have 25000 points or more! As you might expect there are a host of new perks included including...

🔷 A flexible check-in time with priority embarkation and dedicated drop-off luggage service - via the MSC Yacht Club check-in desk
🔶 My Choice dining - allowing guests to dine anytime within the main restaurant’s opening hours
🔷 A free browse internet package - for one device per member
🔶 Free shuttle bus tickets in selected ports
🔷 Meet and greet with ship’s captain or officer
🔶 Priority embarkation and priority access to tender boats in port

For us the anytime dining which is normally only available to those on Aurea or Yacht Club, along with the internet package are the big perks here and will make a big difference to anyone who normally books Bella or Fantastica experiences... but there are a host of perks and touches at all levels which are worth having...

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we have a new crew member at The Cruise Room - please join us in giving a big welcome to Kate who started this week and became our 7th crew member! (We didn’t tell you but it’s also her birthday today so obviously joining us is the best present ever!!! 🤣)

Here’s a little bit of information about Kate so you can get to know her just a little bit better & next week we’ll do something of a Q&A so watch out for that! Here we go…

Kate trained professionally in musical theatre and went on to perform in many shows in and around London after graduating; her favourite being Hairspray!

She then went on to perform as a Lead Vocalist in the show ensemble with AIDA Cruises for three amazing contracts. This gave her the opportunity to visit destinations such as the Baltics, Iceland, Norway, the Caribbean, Canada and popular ports along the East Coast of America including New York, Boston & Florida. She was also lucky enough to do two transatlantic crossings on board which saw her visiting Lisbon and the Canaries and a sail through Prince Christian Sound in Greenland.

She met her husband - a fellow performer - on board and moved back to the Wirral in 2017 where she started teaching musical theatre subjects at Hoylake School of Dance and now has a lovely little girl.

Kate has holidayed on cruise ships for most of her life and is extremely passionate about the industry and the opportunities it gives to those both working and holidaying on board.

So when the opportunity to work with us arose OBVIOUSLY she jumped at the chance (who wouldn’t? 👀🤣) In all seriousness we do know she is very excited to be a part of the crew and to share that excitement and knowledge of the industry with you.

Make sure you come in and say Hi next week with Kate onboard Monday, Wednesday and Friday! ❤️

Another day, another set of 2026 sailings have been released; they really are coming thick and fast as are the bookings with guests ensuring they get what they want!

Today it's Celebrity Cruises as they release their full Summer 2026 Mediterranean programme with as many as EIGHT ships having seasons or mini seasons!

Celebrity Apex as we know is in Southampton again and Celebrity Eclipse was completing some Northern Europe sailings from Amsterdam (for most of the season). Today sailings on Celebrity Ascent, Constellation, Equinox, Infinity, Silhouette and the all new Celebrity Xcel have all been released!

We personally like the sailings on Ascent out of Rome with itineraries that focus on Croatia, Greece and Italy... Xcel is offering mostly 7 night sailings with varying itineraries which is good though Valletta appears on a number of sailings which we like! Oh and we REALLY like the Celebrity Silhouette sailings - a mini season starting and finishing in Reykjavik including an overnight there! These sailings are in July & August so definitely look out for those, there are just 7 and these we expect will sell very well!

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines release Summer 2026 on TUESDAY the 5th November and there's a lot of important (and we think generally very positive) changed coming with it... deep breath...here we go...

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬!

We love this and we can see more of this happening - if you book within the first 4 weeks of launch, then see the price point go down for that stateroom category on that sailing then Fred. Olsen will give a free upgrade (subject to availability) or onboard credit!

This means that booking in the first 4 weeks ensures the very best value...

For the first 4 weeks of launch, single cabins will be priced at the same per person rate as equivalent twin cabins! We think this will cause a huge surge in demand and situations whereby friends that would have shared will now book a room each so move quickly on this one... there's real opportunity here... well played Fred. A really interesting one - Borealis is going to be Adult Only from January 2026! Now, Fred. Olsen of course don't attract huge numbers of children but a handful on a sailing here and there... Bolette and Balmoral will remain family friendly.

In the last couple of weeks Universal Orlando Resort finally announced that Universal Epic Universe will open on the 22nd May 2025 and it looks incredible!

It got us thinking... some of you will think we can only book a cruise whereas we can actually book anything - we just say there needs to be a cruise component in your holiday! So a 2 week stay in Orlando with a 3 night cruise somewhere in the middle or at the end... the perfect combination! Or maybe a weeks cruise with say Royal Caribbean taking in Perfect Day at Cococay with a week enjoying the best theme parks in the world... magic!

Which makes the news that Universal Epic Universe is coming even more exciting as we can enjoy everything we want in 1 holiday! What do we know so far about Universal Epic Universe? Here's the highlights...

It’s been a few days since returning from the stunning Silversea Silver Ray and we’re still talking about it endlessly! Let’s give you a sense of the venues you’ll experience onboard starting with the top decks of this 11 deck ship! On Deck 11 & 10 you’ll find a host of spaces such as the beautiful pool deck: unusual asymmetrical design complete with an outward facing pool for the best possible views while cooling off and relaxing! This is also true of The Cliff Whirlpool which is an infinity pool up on deck 11! You’ll have the absolutely brilliant Marquee which is perfect for outdoor dining experiences such as ‘hot rocks’ where you can cook your steak exactly how you like it on the hot stones. Of course there’s a pool bar and an aft bar for those panoramic views! The whole ship is about bringing the destination and the outside in with a focus on space and of course style! This ship could easily carry double the number of guests. There’s a lovely observation lounge if you need to get out of the sun, there’s a very impressive looking library and the S.A.L.T lab can be found here too!
