It's absolutely freezing outside but that's not the only thing that's freezing! We're freezing our fares until 30th March!

Whilst the Fare Cap has increased in some districts, we are keeping our fares at current rates for now. After this period, and when a new Fare Cap is introduced in West Yorkshire, we will be introducing a new simple fare structure across our network.

From Monday 31st March we will continue to be part of Fare Cap schemes in every district with many fares set lower than the cap. 'Fair's Fare!' - we want bus travel to be affordable!

Friday 10th January - Service Update - 08:45am

Ice is continuing to be a problem. Many rural, side and estate roads are still untreated, leaving a state of compacted ice, with temperatures as low as -11C over the last two nights in places.

Most of our services are running with exception of services 25, 351 and 936/937/938. We will continue to monitor this situation and any updates will be posted here.

09/01/2025

Service update - Thursday 9th Jan - Widespread ice is making conditions very difficult this morning. Services are operating but are sticking main routes and to those with treated services.

Unfortunately services 25 and 936/937/938 are suspended. The conditions are not sufficiently safe to operate along these routes at this time.

Please check back here for any further updates.

Service Update - Wednesday 8th January - 05:45am -

Services are commencing as normal, however widespread ice continues to be an issue, now with falling temperatures. Again, our services will be sticking to main roads and to those with treated surfaces. Please bear with us as some services will be delayed, as our drivers exercise extreme caution due to very challenging road conditions.

Once again, if you're venturing out please take extra care as footways are very slippery underfoot.

Any changes or updates will be posted here.

08:40am Update - Tue 7th Jan -

All our services are operating. We are sticking to main roads and roads with treated surfaces.

The only exceptions to this are; service 357 Holmfirth - Ashton will not be operating today due to the closure of the A635 ('Isle of Skye Road'); and service 309 cannot pass it's route - please use service 309A as an alternative.

We will update again if any situation changes. Please take care whilst out, footways are very slippery underfoot.

Christmas came a little early for our customers aboard the Meltham Circular 933 service. We held a Christmas carol karaoke sing along with the passengers! A lovely idea thought of by Gerald Beer who attends the Meltham Singing Group.
In attendance was the Mayor of Meltham David Haigh who expertly drove the bus all day. Resident DJ, and all round entertainer, was the lovely Julie Boothroyd. A lovely day was had by all who travelled throughout the day.

Big thanks to Wayne Barrett, David Haigh, Julie Boothroyd, Gerald Beer and of course all our wonderful passengers who made the day so special.
