I'll be heading around Huntly shortly handing out selection boxes to children I see. After Huntly I will this year expand and also ride around Turriff.

My children have all grown up, so it's great to see the joy in younger children's eyes again. If your child loves bikes, I'm happy to let them have a seat on the bike and maybe a rev.

Merry Christmas all!

Tuesday Dec 10th is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Huntly’s own George MacDonald.
Orbs Bookshop in Huntly would like to invite you all to our FREE Christmas event. On Dec 10th we’re not only extending our opening hours for the evening, but there will also be all sorts of special things going on.
We’re planning the announcement of the winners of the Brian Nisbet Poetry Award (which this year had a George MacDonald theme) and we’ll be celebrating MacDonald’s work with readings before moving on to celebrate great work from a very modern local author.
Our special guest will be bestselling author Vikki Patis (aka Victoria Hawthorne) and there will be chat, readings and a book signing too.
There will even be free refreshments and special discounts on the night.

This isn’t just any Christmas shopping eve, this is an Orb’s Bookshop Christmas Event!

Stay and Play coming soon at Number 30

PARENT STAY AND PLAY SESSIONS - START 1st NOVEMBER
We delighted to announce that we're starting to open up the other areas of the Number 30 building to the community. One of our early takers of space will be our youngest members of the community when they bring along their Parents for Stay and Play sessions starting on the 1st Novembers.

The sessions will take place upstairs at Number 30, and gives new parents a chance to meet up and chat whilst the young ones play in a safe environment.

The first session will be on the 1st November 9:30 - 10;30 and the plan is to hold these weekly. There will be a small weekly charge of Β£2 to help cover the room hire and the cafΓ© will be open for teas, coffees, and scrummy cakes and scones. Kids snacks can be brought along to the sessions.

Share this post and spread the word, we'd love these sessions to become key to the weekly calendar.

Everyone welcome, with babies to pre-school age children (parents, child-minders) - come along and help make this a great social weekly gathering in the town.
