You’ve been counting down the days, and then boom! Flight disruptions hit…

It’s only January, and we’ve already seen so much travel chaos!

Manchester Airport had to close due to snow, and us travel agents? We’ve been working tirelessly to get our clients’ plans back on track, literally.

Luckily, my clients had me in their corner to help. I was able to support them with alternative arrangements and make sure their trips didn’t get derailed.

Here’s a travel sea-cret...shoulder season travel is on the rise! 🌟

More and more people are opting to travel during the less crowded months which are May and June, rather than peak summer months (July and August).

Why? ⛱️

It’s not just because it’s more affordable, it’s also about being able to enjoy more travel experiences without being shoulder-to-shoulder with others with the same idea!

I can completely relate to those looking to experience hotspots and monuments - it 100% beats fighting the crowds to get to the front doesn’t it?

Travelling smarter and experiencing things that make you feel richer is definitely a trend that I and my customers are packing in our 2025 bags!

Travelling with babies is the dream, especially the 0-4 month age when they sleep anywhere and haven’t started weaning yet 👶🏼🍼

Travelling with babies that have just started toddling, are into everything and there’s danger everywhere, isn’t as relaxing 🥴

There aren’t many kids clubs and crèches that will take under 4’s but I have searched high and low over the years and have tested a number of them. My girls have the best time and even ask to go in for a few hours so they can see their new holiday friends which gives us the best of both worlds and some much needed time to relax.

The best crèches will follow UK ratio guidance and will stick to your home routine, they will have a separate dark sleep area with cots and will provide nutritious meals and snacks. They will also have an abundance of toys and scheduled activities in beautifully decorated and air conditioned spaces keeping those babes cool 😎

Here is a selection of my favourite and my top tip is to book your sessions early as the popular sessions will go fast.

Every trip is special but this one was extra special 😍💍 Ellie & Alex had the luxury of THREE WEEKS to play with and travelled the length and breadth of Thailand. When they first got in touch to plan their dream honeymoon, they knew they wanted to go to Thailand and had a few ideas but were open to my suggestions and needed some help pulling an itinerary together. ✈️ Bangkok - Khao Sok - Krabi - Koh Samui ✈️ With so many hotels, flights and transfer, I wanted to make sure they could immerse themselves and enjoy themselves without worrying about where they needed to be. Before they left I reconfirmed everything with the hotels and suppliers, I populated their calendars with their itinerary even down to the detail of putting their drivers phone number in just incase they couldn’t find him as I knew I’d be asleep for the majority of their day due to the time difference. I slept well every night as I knew if they needed anything our 24/7 duty office would be there for them but it wasn’t needed. All I needed to do was increase their luggage allowance on the internal flights 🫢 Everything ran like clockwork and I woke up each morning to the most wonderful photos. I was thrilled to play a small part in their special trip and can’t believe it’s over. The early bird catches the worm (and the best holiday deals!) A “last minute” offer is a thing of the past. Unless you’re flexible on dates and room type. Travelling as a family in school holidays means you have to reserve the right room for you in advance, if you don’t then you’re likely going to have to compromise on price or room.
