We’re proud to be joining forces with the amazing British iQFoil windsurfer and Olympic athlete, Sam Sills, as he prepares for his biggest ever sporting challenge in 2024!
Working so closely to the sea, it’s only natural that so many of the HX team are keen water sporters. Therefore our partnership with Sam is extremely exciting. At our last HX Connect, he gave us an inspiring talk about his journey, followed by a dip in our pond!
Our Brand team have also been working closely with Sam, joining him in Lanzarote to see him training and to film our new partnership ad. He is doing some amazing work with us, including sending us weekly diaries so we can follow his process.

World Menopause Day 🌸
Today is World Menopause Day, which is all about raising awareness of the menopause and the support options available for managing symptoms. And this year, the focus is on raising awareness of menopause and its effects on cardiovascular health.
With this in mind, we have brought back our (very) popular Sound Baths with @yoga_and_sound_with_sophie, themed around heart cohesion, being present and embracing your feminine energy.
HX is dedicated to supporting employees through menopause and has proudly signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge. We aim to normalise menopause conversations, hosting awareness sessions about its impact. Our community group, 'The M Word', supports those experiencing symptoms. We've trained 20+ Menopause Champions with @Henpicked, designed and run in-house training sessions for our managers, and held our first Men's Menopause Awareness Session.
We are also proud to publish our Menopause guide externally for the first time, which can be found here https://www.holidayextras.com/about-us/unleashing-potential.html Created in partnership with our very own internal Menopause Community Group and trained Menopause Champions to raise awareness of the menopause and perimenopause and the effects it can have on a person's day-to-day experience. Scribeyak at HXConnect ✏️🤩
We were lucky enough to have the amazingly talented Tom, aka Scribeyak, sketch some of the highlights from day 2 of our HXConnect week!
He sat in on our Brand journey “Bearing Fruit” talk and our “Expedition Briefing For Good Time Maximisers” talk and captured the highlights from both. And the results are absolutely incredible!
We spent the first session looking at how far we have come, and although the Brand has developed, our ambition and main values have always remained the same. And the second session was spent looking forward- looking at how we can all continue to drive our growth and what the next 5 years of HX could look like.
This will hang proudly in the office, to serve as a fun reminder of how far we have come over the last 40 years, and to help drive our focus for the next 5 to come.

Beach clean scavenger hunt 🕵️
We love a beach clean at HX. Not only because we work by the sea, but also because we care about playing our part in keeping the oceans plastic free. In aid of The Great British Beach Clean this weekend, our Social team decided to add a bit of fun to beach cleans by turning it into a scavenger hunt to encourage our customers, and HXers, to go out on a litter pick.

Our Brand team have been at it again! Creating our newest campaign, “Hassle-Away kills 99% of holiday hassles.”
All our production is done in house and is a big team effort!
Our Creative Director creates the concepts, scripts and directs the whole production.
Then over to our Creative Lead who oversees production, creates the animations and assets for all platforms and rolls the campaign out.
Our talented in-house Multimedia team film and edit all our footage. And not forgetting the stars of the ad, our very own HXers!
Once ready it’s over to our Marketing teams to roll out the campaign.
We love to include our HX team in our branding. It’s a fun day for all involved, and makes the hard work behind the scenes so worth it!
