Shannon & Jo from our Burton branch were both lucky enough to experience 4 days in Iceland with CoopHolidays, here’s what they got up too:
✈️ We flew from Manchester Terminal 1 on 28th November with Iceland Air, the flight was around 2 hours 15 minutes. We had a fantastic inflight service which included free tea, coffee & water as well as seat back entertainment.
🏨 Stayed at FossHotel Barón for 3 nights, which is located in a brilliant location; close to the main shopping street & offers some great views of the mountains. We had the bed & breakfast option which had a wide variety of choice every morning.
We visited a variety of different hotels including:
🌟FossHotel Reykjavík 4* hotel
🌟Hotel Grandi
🌟Reykjavik Marina Hotel
🌟Center Hotels Laugavegur
🤩We did a lot of excursions including:
🚢 Northern Lights Cruise - we did this twice and unfortunately didn’t see the lights, this is something nobody can ever guarantee. However you do get a free return visit should the lights not appear
💧Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon - We set off early morning with stop along the way at PingViller National Park & got to see the sunrise. Then we went onto see the Geysirs shoot out of the ground, which was amazing. We then had lunch at Gullfoss Cafe and saw the amazing waterfall! 30 minutes down the road we then arrived at the secret lagoon for a 2hour swim & chill.
🚌 On our final day in Iceland we headed onboard the hop on hop off bus which started from Hallgrimskirkja Church, we stayed on for the full duration so we could take in all the sights.
