It's Fridaaaayyyyy! 🥳 Friday 27th December to be exact 📅

We thought we'd start this post with a reminder of what day it is because quite frankly, does anyone really know? Luckily we have our guests arriving today for their New Year break so we we're back in the swing of things here on the farm.

The animals have enjoyed their Christmas treats and we've enjoyed ours too of course but we're now looking forward to walks along the beach, countryside rambles and maybe a New Year's day dip in the sea to start the year off right! 👨‍🔧Do know someone that would love to experience life on our farm and become a mini farmer for the duration of their stay? If you do then send them our way! Farmer Tony is always grateful for the help and the children leave us with a new found confidence, not to mention the memories that will last for many years to come.

We offer the opportunity to get hands-on with our animals during your stay here at Lower Campscott Farm Holidays. You have the opportunity to collect fresh eggs from our hens in the morning, hand feed our animals, walk our Shetland ponies and take a tractor and trailer ride around the farm. If that's not enough then we have an outdoor play area, ride-on tractors and indoor games room to keep the whole family entertained.

We offer 3, 4 and 7 night stays in a choice of cottages or lodges. Dogs are also welcome in our lodges too, meaning no family member needs to be left behind 🐶

This month we celebrate a milestone anniversary on the farm so we thought we'd share a little throwback of what Lower Campscott Farm used to look like waaaaay back in the day before Farmer Tony and his feeding rounds or tractor and trailer rides even existed 😱 What a thought!

We have some sad news to share with you all today. Unfortunately our much loved Shetland pony Gypsy sadly passed away this weekend. She was the eldest out of the four and also Mum to Tiny and Pip 🐴

Gypsy has been with us for many years and considered a true icon. We've always referred to her as the most glamorous member on the farm with her white coat and blonde mane but her beauty was also within. She was a kind and gentle soul with a warm personality that remained with her even as she grew into an older lady, although she definitely kept Muffin, Tiny and Pip in check no matter what her age 😉

She will be missed by all that have known her over the years 💜

Following on from our Christmas market post on Monday, we thought we'd continue the theme with some local Christmas light events happening in the area, making it a great time to visit for a little break away.

We had such a fun couple of weeks with our guests enjoying the usual farm activities with some Halloween fun thrown in the mix, along with some brilliant local firework displays too 🎆

Winter Breaks on the farm ❄️🔥

While our animals may be hibernating for the winter and Farmer Tony is hanging up his tractor keys for the season, it doesn't mean you have to miss out on the peace and quiet of the farm ☃️

The area's biggest and best firework display! We also combine with Halloween for some spooky fun, so we very much encourage the kids to come in fancy dress! There's even prizes for the best costumes!

It's feeling festive on the farm recently 🎄 Our Elf has been enjoying his relaxing stay in Pinetree lodge, scoffing scones and drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate while soaking up the countryside and sea views.
