Experience the thrill of diving in like an otter from our newly upgraded jetty into the expansive lake, perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and various water sports to keep your family entertained for hours. This stream-fed lake ensures continuous fresh water flow throughout the year, with a fishing jetty for angling enthusiasts.
While there is a safe shallow entry point, most of the lake is over 10 feet deep, so all water activities are at your own risk.
The lake has been stocked with fish, but wild otters have been spotted, making fishing more challenging.

Did you know we have our very own Otter Pool?
A charming path from the courtyard takes you through a five-acre field, winding its way to the private lake. At the end of the path, there's a cozy seating area perfect for otter-themed barbecues and picnics, offering stunning views of the Torridge Estuary and Bideford. Unfortunately, due to some otterly tricky circumstances, it has not been possible to make the lakeside fully accessible.

I am delighted to inform you that Putsborough beach have purchased 2 beach wheelchairs which are now available to use free of charge. They would welcome a donation for a local cause of their choosing but it is not essential. Thank you to Rob and Sarah Tucker for making Putsborough accessible to all.

The collective effort by so many businesses since our group meeting is very much appreciated by the Access For All team. Together we are making fantastic positive changes which certainly makes me smile 😃

Just like otters gracefully glide through water, our hoists glide effortlessly through the space, ensuring efficient and convenient lifting wherever you need it.

There are two mobile hoists available, rated up to 175kg. Slings are not provided, so please bring any slings you need.

On the ground floor is the great otter den, featuring a log burning stove, plenty of seating, and level access outside, ensuring accessibility for all. And guess what? You'll also find the secret pool table hidden away, just waiting to be discovered!

Why did the otis otter decide to become a chef? Because he was great at making a splash in the kitchen!

In the 30ft kitchen/diner, we have some otterly unique features including:
🦦 A large oak table that can fit up to 14 people.
🦦 electric range cooker to cook all your scrumptious fish.
🦦American fridge freezer with a ice maker which is rather chilly.
🦦 A removable cupboard under the sink to allow wheelchair access.

Bedroom two is up on our otter tour.
Bedroom two is located on the ground floor, with a 6ft double bed which can be split into two singles if required. All our bedrooms are fitted with, free view TV, sliding pocket oak doors, assistance call system, fire alarms with visible and audible alarms with a vibrating pad also available.

The property boasts a fully accessible lift, ensuring everyone can navigate the currents to both floors with otter ease.
operating otterly quietly with motors situated outside the property to minimise disturbance for adjacent bedrooms. rated for upto 225Kg.

Second up on our otter tour is the wet room in bedroom one. We already saw the ottterly cool ceiling hoist that comes into the ensuite, there is also a recliner shower chair or commode along with grab handles around the shower and toilet area.

To start our otter tour, we are in Bedroom one. Here are some features you otter know! It has two profiling beds, one with sides, additionally there is an x and y ceiling hoist that can be used from the bedroom into the ensuite wetroom. It also has direct access to the outside.
An air mattress can also be placed on one of the beds at request.
