A first time visit for us today. The Ettrick Marshes are around half an hour from Innerleithen. What a fabulous spot...and perfect if bird watching 🐦 is your thing.

Innerleithen based artist Hatch, Burn, Carve created the beautiful slate carved Luna, Moongazing Hound in Cosaig's garden. He recently exhibited at the Trimontium Museum in Melrose and we were lucky enough to see "Lepus Alba" for ourselves. It is stunning and would look wonderful in any setting (including my house if any of my family are reading this 😂)

🎶 Innerleithen Music Festival starts a week today and there's a whole loads of brilliant acts to go and see across the town's venues 🙌

The Durty Brewing Taproom is inviting any musician who wishes to come in busk, to do exactly just that 🎻🎷🎤

It's impossible to celebrate the history and heritage of the Tweed Valley without mention of one of the UK's oldest Victorian letterpress printers: Robert Smail's Printing Works NTS

This living, breathing museum has had a presence on Innerleithen High Street since 1866, and continues to operate as a letterpress printers and shop today.

Keep an eye on the printing works’ socials for details of upcoming workshops and events.

Oh, and did we mention that the museum is also a finalist in this year's South of Scotland Thistle Awards? They're in the running for the Best Visitor Attraction Award 2024 – we'll be rooting for them all the way!

Bowhill House & Grounds and St Mary's Loch are both within easy reach of Cosaig (and each other). Our young tester gave the adventure playground at Bowhill 10/10. The only issue with St Mary's Loch is the traffic jams on the way home 🐑🐑🐑🐑

The Traquair KC Cavaliers cannot contain their excitement for A Dog's Day Out!

We hope you feel the same way! Join us this Sunday, 21st July, for a day of doggy fun. Open 11am-5pm with a full programme of events, and the chance to participate in the Champion Dog Show; could your pooch win best in show?

When I was small summer holidays meant raspberry jam. We'd take a bowl and pick beside a path then Mum spent the evening boiling up the jam in a big (aluminium 🙄) pan.
Nowadays I find doggy bags come in very handy when I am bowl-less😂 ...and I can guarantee that the big pan in Cosaig is stainless steel!
Fancy holidaying and jam- making? We'll soon be coming into bilberry and blackberry season.
