Couldn't imagine a better to spend a Sunday. The Innerleithen Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary walk followed by a visit to Traquair House Christmas Fayre. It was lovely to meet our guests and their gorgeous hounds too 😍

Our friend Robin was enjoying the view this morning (can you spot him?) Meanwhile Oscar was occupied with his latest "stick " and Max steered well clear 😂

Just 20 minutes from Cosaig. The Polish map of Scotland makes for a fascinating visit. Make a day of it.... Enjoy a walk round the grounds, pop into the Barony Castle Hotel for a bar lunch then spend the afternoon in lovely Peebles before returning to the cosiness that is Cosaig!

DID YOU KNOW: The Great Polish Map of Scotland is a large (50 m x 40 m) three-dimensional, outdoor concrete scale model of Scotland, located in the grounds of the Barony Castle Hotel, outside the village of Eddleston near Peebles in the Scottish Borders. It is also known as the Mapa Scotland (derived from Polish mapa Szkocji) or the Barony Map. The brainchild of Polish war veteran Jan Tomasik, it was built between 1974 and 1979 and is claimed to be the world's largest terrain relief model.The sculpture is a category B listed building,and has been restored by a group calling itself Mapa Scotland.

There's still time to sneak in a trip to Cosaig before the end of the year. We have from the 27th November to the 8th December available. Innerleithen's Christmas Light Switch-On is on Saturday 7th December and is always a lovely day in the town.

Autumn is a great time to visit the Tweed Valley Forest Park. These are from our morning walk yesterday at Thornielee Forest. Oscar recommends it for a great choice of sticks...Max doesn't 😂
