It's a busy time of year for the Red Squirrels in the Great Glen.

They are often seen in the surrounding trees, on the lawn and even on the roof of Inglewood Lodge.

The Nevis Range is only a 19 mile drive down the Great Glen from Inglewood Lodge.

For nature lovers, thrill seekers and everyone else in-between we highly recommend a visit to this amazing place to all our guests.

This afternoon we have been watching a solitary White Tailed Eagle flying over Loch Oich in the Great Glen.

These magnificent birds are quite often seen locally as they fly in from areas such as Kinloch Hourn.

Loch Eil this morning 🌥🌦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This beautiful sea loch, near the town of Fort William, is just a short drive from Inglewood Lodge.

The road to Mallaig, which is also the road to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, hugs its northern shoreline and it is surrounded by amazing scenery and many countryside and mountain walks.

A light dusting of snow on Ben Nevis this afternoon ❄️🌦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Nevis Range and Fort William, "The Outdoor Capital of the UK", are just a short drive down the Great Glen from Inglewood Lodge.

At only 22 miles from our superb location on the banks of Loch Oich we highly recommend a visit to Fort William and the surrounding area to all our guests.

We regularly see these beautiful vintage boats sailing along Loch Oich and past Inglewood Lodge as they make their way up and down the Caledonian Canal from Fort William to Inverness.

This morning we have been listening to the first deer calls of the year. The annual "rut" is quickly approaching and soon these majestic animals will be frequently seen and heard on the hills and in the glens around Inglewood Lodge.

We would like to thank our lovely guests Jim, Ree and Ted 🐕 for the thank you card and biscuits after their week's holiday in Inglewood Lodge In The Great Glen.

The weather was mixed and the fishing wasn't at its best but Jim persevered and managed to land this lovely pike 🌦🌤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

During their stay Jim, Ree and their beautiful dog Ted also climbed BEN NEVIS, they rode the cable car at the Nevis Range, visited The Eagle Barge floating pub and also visited Fort Augustus, Loch Ness and Fort William.

Thanks again. Have a safe drive home and we hope to see you again soon.
