Did you know you can meet some beautiful Highland Cows and even feed them out of your hand?!
This is a fab addition to your Caley Cruisers holiday and is so easy to arrange!
Book through Loch Ness Hub online or by phoning them. They are located in the centre of Drumnadrochit (the village next to Urquhart Bay Harbour on Loch Ness). Choose a time that suits you, and then check-in to the Hub for that time slot.
The farmer that runs the croft will then collect you from Drumnadrochit and drive you about 1 mile to his croft - which actually overlooks Urquhart Bay!
Up on the hill, the croft is a stunning location with a view over Loch Ness and right onto Urquhart Bay and Urquhart Castle - see if you can spot your boat!
The farmer will introduce you to his cows and show you how to feed them. If you're lucky, they may even have a calf!
At the moment, the croft also hss some orphaned sheep that need fed, so you might get a chance to give them a bottle too.
The cows are all so friendly and it's a great, hands-on experience. Be sure to take lots of pictures and give the cows lots of love.
